Whether you come for the architecture or for the food and coffee, the city library and the cafe lesbar which is tucked away in one wing of the top floor of the library are an excellent destination. The library itself is an architectural gem. The neat architecture of the building is also reflected in the cafe lesbar. The cafe offers food and drinks which are mainly regionally sourced. For example, the coffee beans are provided by a regional coffee roastery and the wine comes from surrounding vineyards. The cakes are particularly delicious. Order at the bar and the extremely friendly staff will bring you your drinks and/or food. Not only book lovers and architectural afficionados will feel among friends in this location. Highly recommended. By the way, the cafe is run by the same family that also runs the 1819 bistro at the Wirtemberg where the „Grabkapelle“ is located (another must see near Stuttgart).
