I have been in a bunch of different "Hans im Glück" in Stuttgart and in other cities and as I was hungry and nearby I gave this one a try - on a Saturday early afternoon ( 2:30 pm ) without reservation. At the time of my visit a group of 3 guests just waited for being seated in front of me and a short while after a group of 2 were waiting after me. Several waitresses have been noticing there are people waiting for being seated but nobody seemed to care ... a little later ( 5+ mins ) somebody showed up and seated the person who arrived last ( the group of 2 ) first and disappeared for at least another 5 minutes claiming to have to clean the tables before seating guests, which is weird as there have been free tables ( already prepared ) nearby the entrance ( without any sign of reservation ). After 10-15 minutes I finally had a place on a ( totally over sized ) table and was being served by Annika. Food was delicious, staff friendly. Normally this review would be 3 stars due to the seating issues but as the rest was fine I decided to only deduct one star this time.

Place is great but make sure to have reservations else it gets difficult. We ordered the veggie/vegan burgers and they certainly were amazing. We went for the abends menu (evening/dinner menu) We ordered the grünschnabel which was a basilikum drink. I liked it a lot ad it was refreshing. However the other drink called Brombeer was not really great. We also got ice which was piled on even over the glass limit, which made it impossible to stir without continuously dropping ice all over. The hostess did ask the bar tender to remove the extra ice though upon us making it evidently clear that it's not the best option for a drink. The burgers themselves were excellent, both Naturbursche and Abendrot. Again here we asked for a white sauce which would be minty but got recommended the Krauter Soße, a very oily green sauce that of course cannot compliment the fries :) On the other hand my choice of Avocado sauce was impeccable and really tasty.

The Menu for 2 people it was: - Avocado Burger with potatoes - Hans Im Glück Burger with salad - Coca Cola Zero - Apfel Rhabarber drink All for the nice price of 33,90 with a small tip 35€ Really smiling welcoming and super fast. On Sunday for lunch we got the places to seat in more or less 2 minutes. The waitresses very helpful, friendly and ready to speak with you in English, if you are not speaking German. During the order the Blond waitress, was asking and giving us suggestions, finding with us the best way to eat a meal more suited to our tastes. The burgers were really nice with a good cook timing and really tasty. For me a really nice way to spend your time in a nice location with nice people, ready to help you and give you food with medium hight quality and very nice price I suggest it, if you are in Stuttgart 💪🏻

I ordered the Sommernacht burger, slaw and fries to-go. The restaurant interior is awesome (why I stopped in from the street) and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The packaging is super nice. They are selling a "farm raised burger from the forrest. I got a bit worried when the burger came out in ~8 minutes. Good burgers are formed by hand and take 15 minutes to cook. This is a pre-formed patty, possibly frozen. They also do not cook to temperature. All well. Red flag. All of the ingredients are ok on their own, sour dough and cheese are quality. They have NOT cooked this into a burger, however. The bread is not toasted and cheese is not melted. I have to imagine there is better in Stuttgart, especially for 19€.

Right away, I was disappointed by the rather small variety of burgers. However, I decided to go for the cheese and bacon in focaccia bread. It was definitely missing some touch. From the, unfortunately, well done patty, to the bread, everything was quite dry tasting. Additionally, the service wasn't professional. While taking our order, the waitress got distracted by other customers, turned around, took their order, and then turned back to us. What I can recommend is the "Durstlöscher" section of drinks. It is a good variety of fruity, refreshing liquids.

Unsere Bedienung war osteuropäischer Abstammung, was man an ihrem Akzent hörte. Mal etwas anderes.
