Luisengarten Restaurant in Würzburg is an absolute gem, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. From the moment we arrived, the friendly staff set the tone for an exceptional dining experience, greeting us with smiles and attentive service.
The food was nothing short of spectacular. The salad with peaches and bacon-wrapped cheese was a standout—a perfect blend of sweet and savory. Another highlight was the “Pide Morgh,” a flatbread with grilled chicken and cheese.
What made our visit special were the unexpected extras. While waiting for our order, which didn't take long, we were treated to a snack plate featuring delicious dips, falafel, and bolani. At the end of our meal, we ordered baghlava and homemade yoghurt for dessert. I had seen photos of banoffee pie in other reviews and was sad not to see it on the menu; imagine my surprise when a slice of it appeared on our table as an extra treat from the kitchen! These thoughtful touches added a layer of charm to an already wonderful meal.
All three desserts complemented each other, the crispy and not too sweet baghlava with the tangy yoghurt and the soft cream and crunchy crumble of the pie... We devoured it all.
Overall, it was a hearty, satisfying lunch that left us eager to return on our next visit to Würzburg. Luisengarten Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy great food and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Highly...

Essen: Was soll ich sagen?

A few weeks ago, we went out for dinner with our company at Luisengarten on a Monday. The restaurant opened especially for us (we were a group of just over 30 people), which was already quite remarkable.
Food: What can I say? Everything was simply incredibly delicious. It started with a vegan appetizer platter (which nobody minded – on the contrary, everyone thought it was amazing) featuring excellent falafel, eggplant, couscous salad, stuffed vine leaves, delicious bread, and more. This was followed by filled pastry pockets, tasty curries, and marinated meat that was tender like butter. Dessert was an incredible chocolate-nut-cake. Loved it. I only took photos of the vegan dishes.
Service: The welcome from the manager (I assume?) was extremely warm. Throughout the evening, she repeatedly checked to see if everything was to our satisfaction.
The service at some tables wasn’t perfect (mainly in terms of clearing plates – used dishes were left standing for quite a while), BUT one of the two waiters apparently wasn’t a trained professional but someone from a refugee shelter, who was given the opportunity to work there. I think that’s fantastic!
I can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant. The food is exceptionally good, and there’s something for everyone (meat, vegetarian,...
Read moreThe food was good, that much I admit. The starter plate has good variety of different small delicious dishes and the mixed plate is a collection of different grill and cooked meat dishes. You also get rice, salad and yoghurt included. But it took them ages to prepare the food. We got our starter 70 min after we ordered! And another hour for the main dish, which we actually ordered right at the beginning. Yes, we waited more than two hours to get our main dish. And the waiter's response was that "you see that we have a full house" like this would be totally normal!
PS. Just got an email regarding my evaluation. Apparently the restaurant has hired an attorney to claim that they cannot prove that we have ever been to this restaurant and therefore this comment needs to be removed from Google! People, this is not the way to deal with...
