Entrance round the side, not the front. Looks nothing extra special from outside. Inside, it is a single space. A riot of Baroque, ornamentation, a church interior after a vision from The Book of Revelations. More to do with exuberance than piety. Gothic austerity this isn't. Free to get into.

Simply the most beautiful chapel I have seen in my life. Käppele, on the other side of the river is also amazing, but the Hofkirche is second to none. Images do not do justice, you must go inside and take a look. I can’t imagine how beautiful the masses here must have been.

The Court Church of the Most Holy Trinity is a small but ornate Baroque church at the Residenz complex that can be visited free during Residenz opening hours

The church was designed by Residenz architect Balhasar Neumann and constructed between 1732-43. Within you will find an elaborate display of the Baroque with every inch seemingly filled with gilding, stucco, marble columns, colourful fresco.
