This is not an Indian restaurant at all, and it was an absolute disappointment.
We came here with our Indian guests, and were absolutely ashamed after leaving.
The chicken dishes we had didnt at all have a genuine taste, the Chicken Korma didnt taste at all liek Korma.
We ordered plain naan as a side, however then got garlic naan (which was not soft but hard). Upon asking why there is no plain naan, the waiter revealed they 'ran out of plain naan'. Asking further how that can technically be, they mentioend that their naan is purchased ready made (probably deep frozen)!
linking to the point above, they mentioned they dont even have a tandoori oven - which is strange as the name of the restaurant contains 'tikka'. However for a genuine tikka, you definitely need a proper tandoor oven.. So not only teh naan, but also the tikka is fake..
The lassi was very watery and lacked any taste
Price is ridiculous and many of the sides add with a hefty price (even teh two small fake naans charge 5.80eur!!).
Atmosphere looks nice at first glance, however there's no genuine decoration. Even the brick-design tapestry is fake, there is no Indian music, no proper Indian decoration etc.
Some of the staff dont even speak English (which is very strange for an Indian Restaurant..).
It feels very bad to have gone here with our Indian guests, then even being charged the full price for such a low-quality food.

Read moreGiving only 2 Stars this time. No intention to disappoint but a genuine feedback for improvement. When restaurants serving Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese etc are serving corresponding Authentic food don't know what is stopping the owner of the restaurant to have a chef who can cook Authentic Indian food.
The Location of restuarant and the website is really great..We were really excited to see menu items like Vada Paav, Chhole Bhature, Chapati bread etc but expectation doomed after 60 mins of our food order. The packaging is good but instead of Samosa we received Aaloo Chaat (Potato Chaat), Bhatura(Puffed Fried Bread) was too much oily and far far from being called Bhatura. Vada Paav is also not authentic and felt like a big potato patty stuffed between buns with Indian chutneys but sorry it doesn't work. Grilled Paneer tikka and Mango lassi was good though so 2 stars for them.
Will give a next try to this restaurnt just to see if the customer...
Read moreI wasn't too sure what Soul Indian food is, but glad I learned to be curious from a young age on. Soul Tikka is a relatively small restaurant in the centre of Wiesbaden with a very simple but warm layout and color scheme. The menu is easy to read, with many house specialities, all if which can be recognized as Indian dishes with a little extra. I took the Lamb Biryami for my main course, surprised that it came as a complete dish, rather than several needing mixing - the rice was already mixed in and, as you can imagine, spicy as a result. The portion served was just right, the spices milder than I had expected but, overall, most enjoyable. No bothering loud music, no strange wallpaper, simple fare, good service, excellent taste. Highly recommended for those not used to Indian food, and for those who love these dishes, but desire something a...
