we expected nice traditional greek food here but it was quite mediocre - the pastitio we ordered was lukewarm and was made with penne, not with the traditional tubular pasta. we also ordered the grilled kebab but was unimpressed with the presentation and taste - the meat was dry and the “tomato yogurt” sauce accompanied was thick with no tomato flavor (no fresh tomatoes either). the only thing that was decent was the stuffed cabbage but minced beef also...

The Kafeneio restaurant is a very good choice for traditional Greek cuisine. I had the pork steak with fresh fried potatoes and it was delicious. The service was friendly and I enjoyed my late lunch indoors. The old-fashioned furniture and decor adds character and a sense of history to the restaurant. While I appreciate the vintage style, I believe a little modernization in the restroom facilities would be nice. Overall, great food at...

What a wonderful surprise! We were looking for a Michelin star restaurant but none were available and a hungry lot of 8 ended up in this empty tavern. We weren’t expecting much but my Russian and Arab guests were very much pleased with the quality and freshness of REAL GREEK food. And of course with the excellent waitress which I forgot to tip. Sorry girls you’ll get double next time. I give it a double Michelin star for original Greek...
