42 Barstronomy Athens — Restaurant in Athens

I really don’t know if I have to give excuses to that place Cos of the after COV-19 period, however we went out on a Friday night just to check the place and taste some cocktails. It was busy but not crazy crowded and sat outside as I guess it’s still not allowed on the inside. The yard is nice and peaceful. We’ve heard that a new management team took over about a year now , presenting it as “barstronomy” the least you’d expect is tasty cocktails. Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed. Although both, catalogue and presentation were perfect the taste was indifferent. A cocktail full of smashed ice turning your drink into water plus no taste of rum nor bitters. There is a big need of upgrade there guys. As for the music , random random random , just that. I’m sure you can do better than this taking under consideration that you have a great spot just right in the center of Athens. I have to admit tho staff and service were perfect , so well...

Lovely relaxed evening on the terrace of the bar. We went there for drinks and tried different wines and a cocktail, all verry tasty. The service was amazing. Olik (sorry for the spelling) was discret but paid a lot of attention to us and we did not even have to ask for anything (refill, other drink, clearing the table..) He was also able to advise us on wine, which was appreciated. Because the staff was so friendly, we decided to stay for food. The menu is quite international and the food was excellent. WOW, what a way cool place! I brought my daughter to Greece for her 'Sweet 16' special birthday, for the first time ever, and we had no idea where to go for our first breakfast in Athens. So we took a walk down Kolokotroni Street (where our AirBandB is located), to find the Greek National Museum, a Vodafone place and to get breakfast, and we just came upon this excellent bar/restaurant. It's located in a quaint, tree lined allyway next to an upscale underground mini mall, right off of Kolokotroni.
