Lost Roots Wine Bar — Restaurant in Athens

It was my first time visiting Greece from America and my friends and I were exploring the different locations in Athens. When we stumbled upon this wine bar we didn't know we were in for such a treat. The staff were extremely friendly to us and extremely knowledgeable about the wine we were looking for and patient with us considering all the questions we asked. We asked about rhe different wines they had from around the world as well as some traditional Greek spirits such as Ouzu. We also asked about life for the average Greek people, how they view themselves, their culture, America, and their history and they gave us such real and in-depth answers. I hope they realize that they left us with such an amazing impression of the Greek people. I wish I could have left them something cool from America to show my appreciation. An amazing wine and dine place. The food was very fresh and delicious. There is a huge selection of great or even best wines you can get in Athens. What made me shocked, was the fact that Mr. Vangelis has an extremely huge knowledge of every wine he serves. He had sat next to us and told us all facts about the wines we were tasting, how was they made.
