Aylak Politiki Kouzina — Restaurant in Athens

Don't get me wrong the food was nice, fitting the theme. Our main issue (we were a table of 4) was the mood of the waitress. I've been in the hospitality industry and I've done this job in worse conditions and with more demanding guests.

I understand most people in this occupation do this based on their need for financial stability and not because they want to progress in this career field.

The thing is this waitress hated everyone and everything. Having a bad day is understandable but giving to random people your worst attitude will not make things easier for you.

By the time we sat on the table, within a minute she asked us if we were ready to order, we said politely allow us approximately 5 minutes and she got mad because of this.

In less than a minute again a younger waitress came and asked us the same thing, on which we responded again to give us five minutes.

When the grumpy waitress came for our order she had nothing to keep notes on (our order consisted of approximately 10 items). When we asked if she would be able to remember them, she bragged saying "try me".

This resulted in 1 random plate appearing on our table that we never ordered and they forgot 1 item of the order. This would have less chances to occur if the waitress was keeping notes of the order, especially in a rush hour like a Saturday night in Exarchia.

As a result when we asked for the bill they charged us one item more which we never ordered. If we hadn't asked for the receipt we would have never noticed this.

This might be a really specific situation, but this was our experience visiting this place for...

ok so i smashed a couple of stones while eating a lentil dish and basically lost one tooth...it fell apart a couple of days later... I need to complain about this: if you are getting cheap lentil (that is already cheap come on) then spend some time to separate it from the stones dudes...Your blunt reaction and indifference didn't convince me that you will however. You had the kindness to remove the charge for just this plate though (5 EU) when i lost 500 EU in the dentist... The place is ok for it's spot not the food that is cheaply prepared (as indicated above) and...

We walked past it during the day and the food looked great. Went back in the evening really looking forward to it and the food definitely tasted as good as it looked. Price is very reasonable too. The only drawback for us was the service. We felt a little bit of an attitude, especially when paying the bill. No receipt, they just tell you the price. While the price was around what we expected, we felt rushed and the waiter just stood there waiting for us to pay. It just made us feel a bit uncomfortable. Still, the food and the atmosphere were...
