Everything about Salero we loved from their story to their food. Inside a 1930s old Bauhaus building, it’s beautifully decorated with plants and colors that pop. Conveniently, there’s Wi-Fi and outlets near tables. Clean restrooms are on the second floor where there’s more seating. The food is really good and the portions are very big so plan accordingly. When you sit down, your server brings you their regular menu, their daily specials list, cold water, and warm bread. To feee four of us, we ordered the fried mushrooms, zucchini pie, kale salad, gigante beans, and salmon. We left with bellies full and leftovers. Every dish was tasty! Their house wine is excellent and comes with a generous portion. The peach sangria was sweet just how I like it. Service was excellent- the best we’ve had in Athens. Our server was confident, efficient, an and helpful.

On one hand, The atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasant. The food was tasty and well cooked. The chef adds relatively many dishes beyond what is on the regular menu, so don’t count 100% on the pictures here - some of the dishes will not be in the menu. Prepare to be surprised :) On the other hand, The service wasn’t good. 1st , we were sitting in the second floor and they barely noticed us, we had to wave for someone to come and take our order. 2nd, when we came to pay and said we want to separate the bill for two, the lady in the cashier was very rude and gave us unpleasant look and noises.

Amazing first meal in Athens. First of all, the interior is very stylish but casual. Good music, open late. Secondly, I had the best salad of my life thus far here. The iceberg salad with sweet orangey dressing... delicate but the flavors are so satisfying. Making a good name for iceberg lettuce. I had an entree of grilled liver with rice, and he had rooster with potatoes. Both were spot on. House wine is good and cheap. All in all, delicious fresh food at perfectly reasonable prices. After coming from Italy, I’d say it felt like a bargain.

Very well positioned on becoming my most favorite find in 2021, assuming we are not facing any potential lockdown in the foreseeable future... Service, similar to most places I have visited so far in Athens, was prompt, quick, no non-sense, great recommendation on what we should order. Love. Food was simply amazing. Since it was 11pm and we wanted to be "sensible", we only ordered a 600gr piece of grilled pork chop, paired with a rocket salad w caramelized pears, graviera cheese and roasted pinenuts. I had a glass of Assyrtiko from Kavala. The tastes complimented each other so well, of course the star of the show was the grilled meat, tender and juicy inside, charred on the outside. Heard from others that this place serves very good cocktails so...I can't wait to visit again...

We had passed in front of Salero many times but we actually went there the other day looking for a place to get a drink along with some light dinner. What was really surprising (and that we had never been able to realise just passing by) is that there is a large yard at the back of the restaurant with comfortable and cozy seating. The dishes we tried were very tasty (there is a decent selection of fusion dishes to choose from ) and so were our drinks but what I liked most of all was the nice treatment from the staff. I would totally recommend this place and I'm certainly going back for more (I've already eyed some dishes that I was too...
