Solid Choice for Casual Dining - Cafe Bar 67
Having had the chance to visit Cafe Bar 67 during my recent trip to Athens, I found it to be a comfortable spot offering good value for money. It doesn't bill itself as a high-end venue but delivers satisfactorily on its promise of decent food and drinks at reasonable prices.
The menu, offering a variety of dishes, makes it a versatile option for a quick bite, a laid-back meal, or a social gathering over drinks. The portions were generous, the ingredients fresh, and the presentation decent, providing a dining experience that felt both homelyand satisfying. The drinks menu was also quite extensive, offering a good selection of both local and international beverages.
What struck me most about Cafe Bar 67 was the value for money. Given the overall quality of the food and drinks and the attentive service, the prices were quite reasonable, making it an ideal spot for budget-conscious diners or large groups. However, when it comes to ambiance, Cafe Bar 67 is more of a casual eatery rather than a spot for a special occasion. Although clean and comfortable, it lacks a distinctive atmosphere that would make it a go-to place for brunch or a romantic dinner. It's more of a straightforward cafe-bar rather than a destination dining experience.
In summary, Cafe Bar 67 offers a solid dining option in Athens. While it may not be the first choice for a special occasion or a unique brunch experience, its good value for money, attentive service, and satisfying menu make it worth a visit if you're in the area and in search of a simple, honest meal. I am glad to give it a well-deserved...
Read moreAlthough I love this Ukrainian cosy cafe, our last time there was very disappointing.
First of all, they brought us the small vegan dumplings with NON vegan mayo... while in the past, they were by default coming with a red vegan spicy sauce. My friend who was there with me, who is vegan, told me that she got sick last time she ate those because she ate the mayo, as she didn't think it's not vegan.. ("Why would they bring something from the vegan menu, with a non vegan sauce on the side?" was her question and I must say, I had no answer)
Then, our order was 3 pieces of the vegan cake and those vegan dumplings, but the waitress only brought 1 piece of cake... we had to ask for the 2 more pieces 3 more times, and eventually another waitress brought them (who just came to start her shift, we thought), who was very slow and gave an impression that she was too bored to work, while the first one was running around to keep up with the orders (it was Saturday evening).
We had limited time because we had to go elsewhere afterwards so, we were one step before asking the cakes in a box, but we try ti avoid using single use packages...
Anyway, this first waitress was really trying to keep up, I felt bad for her running around on her own..until we saw the 2nd waitress who didnt seem to be very helpful though.
Anyway, maybe it was just a bad day for the cafe, but please be careful with the sauces you bring with those dumplings, someone could be intolerant or allergic to dairy and eggs and you could find yourselves in a very bad position if they would end in...

For coming there with different friends and watching their wow-reaction trying traditional Ukrainian borscht (soup) for the first time. For my favorite nalysniki with sour cream and berry jam. For the interior – here you can see (and carefully touch) unique and authentic Ukrainian embroidery on the walls and handkerchiefs on the chairs. For meeting team members, other visitors and having interesting conversations. And for Lesia, the owner and heart of the “67”. She did a lot of things that you can see around by her own hands together with family and friends. She is so open, empathetic, and has a strong connection with her guests – some dishes on the menu are named after her guests, just because they inspired her to make something special for them and now it's on the menu:)
Lesia is volunteering actively now with the help of visitors, suppliers, and other organizations. So if you feel like you want to help Ukraine just ask team members how you...
