Diplo Café — Restaurant in Athens

I am unfortunately very disappointed with how the waitress treated us throughout the whole time. First she mixed up our orders and blamed it on us as if we had ordered something else accidentally - which we didn’t. We repeated twice to her what we would have wanted. Then upon leaving we asked for the receipt and she straight told us that since it’s illegal in Greece not to give the receipt to the customer, she’s sure she’s given it to us. However, we have never received the receipt unfortunately, which is not only upsetting because we should have got it by law, but also because we paid more than what we should have checking the prices on the menu. So now we are left without a receipt which is ok, but then don’t blame it on us?

I think it’s just this specific waitress because the last time I was here in February, I didn’t have this kind...

The waitress was very rude. We ordered two different dishes, but as she brought the wrong order we had to send it back, and she clearly was upset with that. When we asked for the receipt she got very snappy and told us she had already given it because she was obliged to by law (she did give it but she took it back when she changed to food and thus we don’t know what we paid for - the price was different from what we had ordered). She did not want to give a new receipt after loosing the original one. Eating here was an unpleasant experience and we won’t be coming...

The service was excellent and they were very accommodating to my broken Greek. (The people there speak perfect English, like many Athenians.) I got the mixed grill for 1 and a Greek salad and they were both νόστιμα (delicious)! This place had a great atmosphere even though I got there before it was crowded. I bet it's nice with the live music they have at night. I'll definitely return to try their...
