Each pie is made fresh with love. The owner also went above and beyond to accommodate my specific dietary needs. Located in the heart of Athens, the food offered at Filomila is not only delicious but also very affordable. During my visit, the owner even surprised us with a serving of vegan orange Olive oil cake, which was a delightful treat. We are here out of season but the weather is being kind we came over to Finikas from Ermoupoli for a change of scenery and found this great tavern. We had a Greek salad fresh anchovy and grilled pork rib and a beer all yummy while watching the blue sea roll in with sun shine and a warm breeze. Please try this tavern and I hope you are as pleased as we have been. While visiting Syros, a local friend took me to this restaurant for a late lunch. Filomila offers a daily selection of vegetarian and vegan cakes. The staff are super friendly! You are asked at the entrance whether you would like a vegan or vegetarian dish and the cakes are explained to you depending on your answer. We opted for a broccoli tart and a fava tart. Personally, I really liked the fava cake. The food is not necessarily anything special, but it is definitely delicious and very filling. You can also have a tasty meal here in no time at all. It's definitely worth a visit.
