I was pleasantly surprised to find a restaurant in Exarchia (Athens) serving food from Afghanistan. 😊
I really liked the outdoor seating area of the restaurant ... and some of the dishes I tasted were delicious. 😋 However, for somebody having enjoyed outstanding Afghanee home cooking (for a few years) I have to admit the rice dish with the lamb was disappointing! 🤔
The service is prompt and courteous and the prices very reasonable .... & .... it's a nice place to enjoy a meal with friends after a long walkabout in the Exarchia neighbourhood .... that is always a good...
Read moreGreat selection of traditional Afghan dishes, good service and food wasn’t hot enough but I believe that was because we were eating outside on a very cold day in November, Ashak dish was very nicely done, Montou was lacking slightly on the flavour side and Kabuli Palau was excellent. I do think the restaurant could do with a selection of more drinks e.g. fresh fruit juice to live up to the general standards in the Greek culture. Did not have the Afghan chai, many Afghans restaurants serves a green/cardamom tea usually after meal which this restaurant did not...
