"KOLONAKI UPSCALE 4 BEDROOM LUXURY APARTMENT"
Absolutely filthy. White socks turned black within 2hrs of check in. Rubbish bits and hair all over floors. Cleaner re-sent and we watched as she mopped it with a dirty mop - no vacuum, she even mopped the rugs and pushed dirt and rubbish around the floor and this was apparently "cleaned".
The kolonaki "luxury" apartment has floor boards that have seen better days and need urgent changing, the property might seem to present well in photos but it has been trashed in its current state with light fittings loose from the connections, the balcony has a balustrade height of circa 70cm and is VERY dangerous for children. What makes this even worse is the cheap plastic like sliding doors to the balcony has locking issues, which is a serious safety concern - particularly if you have children. The bathroom shower door hits the shower head and the shower head fell on my head when I tried to leave the shower.
The rug in the dining room is a trip hazard as well as filthy and has seen much better days. The mattresses are the cheapest mattresses on the market, so prepare yourself for a physio visit after your stay. No feeling of luxury at all. The apartment block itself is old and feels like you stepped into the 1960's.
Don't waste your money on this property. There are so many new apartments in new complexes available in Athens that actually are luxury properties. This property is definitely one NOT to rent if you are looking for luxury and safety. If you are looking to get ripped off and ridiculed then book it, otherwise stay away. Also, apartment was booked with parking in ad and then declined after booking with property management company not honouring their ad and our booking nor offering a portion of money back for refusing us what we booked and paid for.
P.S. Across the way, the opposite building has abandoned apartments with pigeon infestations and birds nests on balcony - the view is really not pleasant or...

My partner and I were in Athens for 5 days in November. It was wonderful! Marina was a great host. At the beginning we had unfortunately got an apartment which smelled strongly of food, after I had told Marina, we immediately got a better apartment. The apartment was clean, we were able to warm it up and it was nice and warm after turning on the air conditioner. The cleaning staff were very friendly and the entrance was nicely decorated for Christmas. We were very happy with the overall service and would go back to Athens in a heartbeat and book the apartment again.
Thank you Marina for the wonderful hospitality! She ordered us a cab for our departure. That also worked out wonderfully! The area is well located & you can reach the center very quickly on foot. It is well connected with public transportation and you can quickly reach the sights of Athens. Athens airport is 30 minutes away by car.
It was absolutely amazing - thank...
Read moreMy partner and I stayed here for five days in Athens and we loved it! Marina was incredibly accommodating and helpful, with recommendations and tips while in Athens posted in the room. The check in instructions were very clear and we felt very secure while staying here. My partner spent one night alone here before I arrived and she felt very safe here.
The room itself was spacious, clean and modern with facilities for cooking and food storage that were very welcome!
The area around the apartment was amazing, Exarcheia is a lively and fashionable area with loads of great cafes, restaurants and bars, we felt very safe and accommodated there. One of the highlights of the location was the ice cream shop directly below the apartment which we visited too many times!
Overall we would recommend a stay here, you will be well looked after. Thank you...
