Jimmy's Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Athens

There have been only few times that I’ve experienced such rude and unprofessional service.

We had a breastfeeding mother sitting on a table as we were waiting for a couple more people and one of the waitresses urged us to sit on another table, while she was still(!) breastfeeding. Took them more than 5 minutes to come to our table and get an order. There was an ironic tone as we were asking clarifying questions on a product on the menu. Both waitresses were casually walking and chatting while our coffees were ready to be served on the bench.

While the lunch (a sandwich and a cheese pie) was ok - nothing exceptional- the service left us speechless, hence this review I felt urged to do.

Arrived late in the afternoon to Athens and checked into our Airbnb before heading out to dinner.

Jimmy's is only a few steps from our space and we decided to try it. Great choice. Good food but fabulous service. Such friendly staff.

Two of us ordered the Caprese Sandwich with tomato, mozzarella, arugula and a pesto spread. Very good sandwich, fresh bread.

My partner ordered the Provolone sandwich with tomato and enjoyed it. Our niece ordered a club sandwich with turkey, cheese and a side salad. She enjoyed the plate.

Very good food, low prices and they are open a bit later than some of the other restaurants in the area.

We will return...

Got the beef patties via takeaway and they instantly gave me food poisoning. I felt sick, nauseous, and more.

*My answer to their response: I felt completely fine *before I ate it and within minutes after I ate it, my stomach started cramping and I felt horrible. Felt like vomiting almost instantly... and even today, I still can't eat. What more proof do you need? Also, the fact that you are acting dismissive (rather than trying to learn more or be compassionate) speaks...
