A hidden gem in Psiri that sets a new bar for gluten-free dining.
Nudie Foodie is one of those rare finds that combines passion, health-conscious creativity, and genuine hospitality into a seamless dining experience. From the moment you walk in, youâre greeted with a warm, cozy atmosphere â pastel green walls, soft lighting, and floral touches that make the space feel fresh and welcoming. The decor strikes a charming balance between modern cafĂ© chic and rustic comfort, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed meal or a quiet brunch.
As someone who appreciates both taste and presentation, I was impressed right away. The food quality is outstanding. I ordered the gluten-free pizza, and it completely changed my perception of what gluten-free crust can be â light yet satisfying, with a perfect golden crisp around the edges and rich, melty cheese that doesnât overpower the sauce. Every bite tasted freshly made and thoughtfully prepared. You can tell this kitchen values ingredients as much as flavor.
The Super Cannabis Smoothie was another highlight â a surprisingly energizing blend of almond milk, pineapple, banana, chia seeds, hemp leaves, and honey. Itâs not just a novelty; itâs balanced, refreshing, and leaves you feeling genuinely revitalized. This smoothie could easily compete with the best wellness cafĂ©s in major cities.
What truly stands out here is the service. The staff are attentive, friendly, and clearly take pride in what they do. They take time to explain the menu, make thoughtful recommendations, and ensure that every guest feels looked after. That personal touch adds real value and makes the experience memorable.
Pricing is very reasonable for the quality offered â around âŹ10â15 per person feels like a bargain considering the care in both food preparation and presentation.
The atmosphere ties everything together â bright but not harsh, floral without being overdone, and peaceful even when the cafĂ© is busy. Itâs the kind of place you could linger with a book, meet a friend for coffee, or enjoy a solo lunch without feeling rushed.
Overall, Nudie Foodie Psiri is not just a restaurant â itâs a statement about how gluten-free and health-focused food can be both delicious and beautifully presented. Whether youâre gluten intolerant or simply someone who values good food made with integrity, this is a must-visit...
Read moreDisappointed with Mislabeled Keto Options and Service at Nudie Foodie
My experience at Nudie Foodie in Athens was unfortunately quite disappointing. I specifically sought out this cafe for their advertised keto-friendly pancakes, but was surprised to learn that the "keto pancakes" contained potato and rice flour. This completely contradicts a keto diet. While the menu listed different flours, the staff confirmed they use a mix containing potato and rice flour in the kitchen. Disappointingly, they downplayed the significance of this discrepancy and offered no apology. Adding to the frustration, the service was inattentive. We waited for over 20 minutes for a dirty table to be cleared and our order to be taken. After an hour of waiting with no food served, and given the misleading menu information, we decided to cancel our order and leave. Overall, Nudie Foodie seems poorly equipped to handle dietary restrictions, particularly for those following a strict keto diet. The inattentive service further compounded the issue. I would recommend avoiding this cafe if you have food intolerances or expect their labelling to be...
Read moreA solid 4 star gluten free cafe. Possibly rather good by Greek standards, in Australia this would be lucky to get a 2 star. Why? The flavours aren't incredible, the sizes are small, the staff are efficient not friendly and warm. The actual ingredients tended to clash. FOOD: Good selection of salads, waffles, French toast, breakfasts and pizza. Our salad had a surprising amount of onion, the French toast was topped with some odd textured cream (how vegan cream used to taste years ago before it got better). Both meals weren't typical of the standard we've had in the hidden gluten free Makrigianni street in Athens which houses many of the gf only coeliac restaurants. STAFF and INTERIOR: ok. OVERALL: Would consider going back if I was in the area, otherwise I'd eat at all the other gluten free only restaurants in Athens (tip: if you don't know, they avoid labelling them gf, so that locals still eat there but they're all gluten free...
