I am extremely disappointed by the way the landlord/manager communicated with me today, while I was at the airport. I was really offended: a terrible way to end my holiday! ||||I basically left the property for lack of cleanliness, and the manager texted me saying that was “understood”. Now he/she is extremely offensive on WhatsApp (attached). Here’s the full story. ||||First, this is an apartment building, not a hotel. I never saw anyone. All information and building and room codes were sent by WhatsApp. The location is excellent but the building is terrible! ||||Anyway, I stayed 3 nights, through booking.com, and when I came back from Meteora, I was planning to extend for another 3 nights, but I was given two options of dirty rooms, with hair on the floors. I gave them two chances and left the place twice, asking them to clean while I was away. When I came back, the room was the same, so I decided to leave. The manager then said that it was “understood”. I have his message on WhatsApp as evidence. Therefore, I thought we ended it amicably and positively. ||||However, after staying in a nearby hotel, and upon checking out, I realized that I still had the adapter I had borrowed from Filia Place. So, I texted them and asked if it was possible someone could pick it up because I was in a great rush heading for the airport. I was under tremendous stress and had no time at all. But I was shocked to receive very offensive messages. I have snapped pictures of these messages. I am honestly deeply hurt because it was unnecessary and unjustified. ||||I have shown the messages to the airport officials, and I was advised to escalate this locally. I have written to the Ministry of Tourism and will also inform the Embassy in Qatar. Disrespectful behavior towards tourists and their countries must not...
Read moreWe just left this place after a 2 night stay and we liked it. At first glance the street on which the hotel is located seems a little dodgy and unsafe. And the entrance to the hotel does not bear the name of the hotel (see photo). So it might be confusing to travellers. However, once you get past the external facade and go up the dark, scary staircase, the room’s interior is actually quite nice. Furnishings are new and modern. Air-conditioning works great. Water pressure in the showers is awesome compared to a lot of hotels. We paid for our hotel beforehand so our check-in was completely through WhatsApp with Sophia. No need for face-to-face contact, which is something that might or might not appeal to people. Sophia was also very accommodating and followed up to see if everything was ok after check-in. I would definitely say this is a good option if you want to stay in the Monastiraki area and don’t need a glitzy...
Read moreThe apartment is cozy, clean, well equipped, located on a street that seems safe, is close to the taverns from psyri, but away enough so you won't hear any music when you sleep. We had no problem with the neighbours. The apartment has 2 AC units so you can sleep well during summer days. The bathroom has everything you need, soap, shampoo, shower gel, towels, hair dryer. The kitchen have a microwave, a small fridge, a sandwich maker, plates and utensils. There is no electric stove but with so many taverns around you won't need to cook at home. Also is good to bring your own iron for clothes, maybe if we had asked, the host would have offered it to us, but on the website wasn't specified anything about the iron, so we prepared. The host is helpful and polite, I have only good words about our interaction. I'll recommend this place to my friends and when I'll come back to Athens I'll check the availability of...
