I was walking in peace not thinking of food and I ended up eating all the food in the picture.
I stumbled upon this little cosy gem. The sign got my attention and the rest is history.
Barbara, the owner, had me from her smile and the way she welcomed me and hospitality shown. I felt home immediately as I’m half Lebanese.
I ordered Fatoush, Kafte and Falafel was added too. I love my food.
Better than I ever expected.
The Fatoush was the best I had, even better than Lebanon. I don’t know what she put in there but I couldn’t stop eating it. I told her this is art, whether the looks or the taste. The veggies were all very fresh and the nuts and dried fruits and her own home-made pomegranate molasses. The mix of all this was heavenly. An I’m not a salad fan but this is something else.
The Kafte was juicy and fresh quality meat can be tasted. No over seasoned meat like other places to cover for the quality. This was very authentic fresh Kafte made with love. Potatoes were freshly cut and fried with some salt. Simplicity is best.
The falafel were crispy from outside and very soft from the inside. Took me back to Beirut with every bite.
The Hummus texture was perfect, not too salty or lemony, no unnecessary shenanigans other places add now to look hip. Just as it should be, right from the small villages in Lebanon.
I met her today and Barabara makes her food with love and her attention to detail is outstanding. She cares about what she’s serving you and would advise you with lovingly energy.
If you’re bored of Souvlaki and want a taste of real authentic Middle Eastern food, I advise you to pay this place a visit and you will not be disappointed.

Read moreRecently visited Yalla Yalla in Athens as a couple (no children) for dinner. The restaurant is very unassuming. It’s a small corner setup with a few metal tables and chairs outside. It doesn’t look like much from the street, but what it lacks in appearance, it more than makes up for in service and the quality of food.
We were warmly greeted by the owner, a middle-aged Lebanese woman who immediately made us feel at home. It genuinely felt like being welcomed by a mother. She took the time to explain the menu and made thoughtful suggestions based on what we told her. We were hungry and ordered quite a bit. She recommended we split a few items and was more than happy to prepare smaller tasting portions of some of the meats we were curious about. Absolutely first-class service. A young local waitress also served us throughout. She was friendly, attentive, and clearly proud of the food they were serving.
We started with the hummus and fattoush salad. Both were fresh, flavourful, and generously portioned. For mains, we had two wraps/gyros along with a few smaller meat portions recommended by the owner. Everything was delicious. The meat was tender, well-seasoned, and clearly prepared with care.
This was a fantastic experience overall. Nothing fancy in terms of decor, but in terms of warmth, flavour, and hospitality, it absolutely delivered. Highly recommended if you’re looking for honest, well-cooked food in Athens
I’d love for the owner(s) to invest in the seating area as it would elevate an already...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Yalla Yalla restaurant, and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience that transported my taste buds straight to the heart of Lebanon. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, beautifully adorned with traditional Middle Eastern decor that set the perfect tone for the meal ahead. The service was impeccable. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations tailored to our preferences. It was evident that the staff was passionate about providing a memorable dining experience. As for the food—oh my goodness! We started with the mezze platter, no featuring hummus, baba ganoush, tabbouleh, and freshly baked pita. Each Ħdish was a burst of flavor, with the hummus being the creamiest I’ve ever tasted. For the main course, I opted for the grilled kebabs, which were tender, juicy, and perfectly spiced. The flavors were vibrant without being overwhelming, showcasing the authentic Lebanese cuisine. Overall, Yalla Yalla Restaurant is a hidden gem that I highly recommend to anyone craving authentic Lebanese cuisine. The combination of delightful flavors, attentive service, and a charming atmosphere makes it a must-visit. I can’t wait to return for my next visit to...
