Absolutely Disgraceful and Dangerous Customer Service I had a wonderful dinner at this cafe yesterday evening, conveniently located near my Novotel, and decided to come back today for a quick coffee before traveling. My experience today, however, was shockingly bad and even frightening. I initially approached the bar to place my order, but due to a queue, I decided to take a seat at a table. I waited for some time, and when no waiter approached, I ended up ordering a taxi, which notified me it would arrive in 4 minutes. It was at that moment that a male waiter finally came over to take my order. I apologized, explaining I couldn't place an order now as my taxi was already minutes away. The waiter's response was immediately aggressive and rude. He told me, in a very condescending tone, that "this is not a bus stop" and demanded that I "get up and leave." I asked him for his name, and he flat-out refused to give it to me. I then approached the bar and asked to speak to the manager or director. This is where the situation escalated dramatically. The waiter began to scream obscenities at me, using every vulgar phrase imaginable, and wildly gesticulating with his hands. He was shouting that he was the manager and the director. I tried to get the feedback book to document this unacceptable, abusive behavior and the verbal assaults. However, the waiter violently snatched the book out of my hands and then started threatening to call the police on me. His continuous, uncontrolled stream of abusive language and shouting brought out a female staff member, who tried to calm him down, telling him that he absolutely cannot talk to a customer like that and to be quiet. The waiter's behavior was not just rude—it was dangerous and seemed extremely mentally unstable. I felt an immense amount of palpable aggression from him. I strongly urge management to take immediate action. This individual's public shouting, abusive language, and physical aggression (snatching the book) pose a risk to customers and the reputation of the cafe. Potential customers should be warned about this specific waiter. Be...
Read moreThis place comes highly recommended. During my stay, I enjoyed delicious food and drinks here in the morning, afternoon, and evening.
For breakfast, I had a Greek omelet with local feta cheese, which is perfect for starting the day. For lunch, I had pastitsio, a homemade dish that is truly outstanding. I also got some tasty tapas with it. In the evening, you can also get a delicious Neapolitan pizza here, which is also prepared locally. In addition to delicious food, the (alcoholic) beverages selection is also formidable. The alcoholic beverages include a choice of local Greek drinks and beers (on tap) and a nice selection of foreign drinks. All this at a very reasonable price.
Finally, the excellent service deserves a mention. The waitress did her utmost to serve us appropriately, and you can confidently follow her menu recommendations. In addition, her language skills are very good and she always does her best to serve everyone...
Read moreThe portions here are generous—easily enough for two! We ordered kebabs, which came with crispy fries, fresh tomatoes, onions, warm pita, and a creamy yogurt sauce. Everything was absolutely delicious. The mixed fresh juice, made from bananas and oranges, was a refreshing touch.
A nice surprise was the complimentary welcome package: a flavorful olive paste, crunchy breadsticks, and bottled water—an excellent way to start the meal.
Service was top-notch; our waiter was genuinely attentive, making sure we enjoyed our food. The interior is simple but comfortable, with infrared heaters that kept it pleasantly warm even on a rainy day. Plus, with two large TVs broadcasting football games, it's a great spot for sports fans.
Overall, a fantastic dining experience—great food, friendly service, and a...
