Seawolf is a brand new restaurant in the heart of trendy Koukaki which specialises in fish delicacies. Needless to say that this restaurant was an immensely positive revelation as it completely exceeded my excpections! While new restaurants are popping out all around Athens, Seawolf is by far one of the best new restautants of Athens and could easily enter the list of the very good restaurants of Athens. The chef has come up with unsually delighful combinations such as Taramosalata with Nori/wasabi or Fava with smoked fish. Not only these fusion additions remarkably complemented each other, but the tarama and fava alone were one of the best I have tasted (and I am Greek!). The salad was suprisingly tasty, refreshing and flavorful thanks to all the greens, herbs and acidity. However, the star of dinner were these exquiste octupus raviolis which really showcased the true talent of the chef. So all in all, the dinner at SeaWolf was superb, with a very pleasant, professional and friendly service. I am sure that Seawolf will gain in reputation as it totally deserve it!

Recommended highly by our cab driver, it was a 10min walk from the Acropolis. Clean. The kitchen is open so you know they keep the hygiene standards high. The interiors are simple but lovely & clean. The waitstaff were very nice and gave good recommendations. To start they gave us grilled white and brown bread. Smokey yummy flavor. We asked for butter and they over delivered. Between 2 adults & 1 child we had the shrimp tacos (recommended), catch of the day (amber jack) with sides of aubergine & potatoes (recommended) & cod tempura with almond garlic purée (a little on the salty side, but balanced by the beetroot salad). Dessert of the day was mille feuille. Sooo good! (Recommended) We also had a glass each of rose (FTERI TROUPIS WINERY PGI PELOPONNESE- AGIORGITIKO, MOSCHOFILERO) and white wine (KIDONITSA ZACHARIAS VINEYARDS VW PELOPONNESE- KIDONITSA) Excellent pairing with the fish dishes! Especially the white! They gave complimentary sweet wine to end the memorable meal. If you love fresh seafood this is the place to go!

The starters were actually good, we had the greek salad, ceviche, shrimp tacos and taramas. The staff is friendly and the service is good but the low rating if for the following..The mains were a big letdown. Had one of the fish of the day which was red snapper which was tough and didn't seem fresh. The big dissapointment was the monk fish rissotto. The waiter brought the dish without any fish in it and before we started digging in, he came back to take it away saying they forgot to add the monk fish. Then the other waiter brought the dish back but instead of monk fish it had some squid on it. When we asked he insisted that he had informed us in the beggining when we were ordering that they were out of monk fish. Neither me or my wife remember such a thing. On the contrary I had commented in front of the waiter that I like monk fish and lets go for the rissotto. I'd appreciate a bit more senserity. The rissotto was also in a runny sauce and not so appetizing.

We checked it out because of its incredibly high 4.9 star rating. Very deserving of this rating.

I don’t really like salads. But salads in Greece are to die for. And the Greek salad at this restaurant? It outshines all of the fantastic ones I’ve had in Greece. The cherry tomatoes are so fresh, can’t beat it. And they use Mizithra cheese instead of feta, which adds a smoother creamier texture with a lot of flavor. This salad might be the best salad I’ve had in my life.

The giouvetsi. As a child, I used to love watching movies from Stephen Chow, a Hong Kong comedy actor. He had a comedy movie called “God of Cookery”. In the first scene, it shows a cooking competition where he cooks this plain-looking orange rice. When the judges see it, they think “wow all he made is rice?” But then they taste it, and they start crying because of how amazing and beautiful the flavors of the rice are. That’s how I felt when eating this dish. The pasta was incredibly flavorful, filled with the taste of the sea. The pasta itself was a perfect al dente. I can’t stop thinking about this dish.

They gave us dessert on the house! Deconstructed Mille fuille. Not too sweet. Delicious, but we wish there was more of the biscuit.

Service was excellent. Such nice people. I will recommend this to...
