Selas — Restaurant in Athens

They rudely interviewed my political views before giving me my coffee because they noticed my nationality when i paid with my card. I asked for them to stop but they didn’t. It was like I have to “pass a test” to prove I am a “legitimate” costumer. They told me they just don’t like people that support the “idea of your country”. I didn’t cooperate with the questions because I wasn’t there to apology for my nationality or explain my political opinions, and was deeply offended of this...

In the beginning I thought what kind of coffee shop is this when passed near by... then one morning I when for a double espresso , was very good, peaceful environment in the middle of the main centre streets and felt like you are in different world. ~ I must mention like attracts like, so most of the customer are also quiet, intelectual and friendly. ~ Then one night went for a beer, was a bit cold but I seat outside though people might smoke inside... may be did it. I do not know... just I like more the place. ~ Briefly speaking.... nice aura -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-

Un comentario en lengua castellana.

Este cafe se encuentra casi escondido entre un corredor con arboles y con la calma que lo distingue.

En primer lugar no te llama la atención cual requiere, ya que su habito casual y desatendido te confunde. Aun así no podríamos dejar de alabar sus cualidades y la riqueza humana que lo invade.

La relajación, amistad circundante y un alrededor intelectual. Gente joven no solo en su edad sino en espíritu e ideal.

Excelente atención, rápida y cordial. Buena música, creo que la mayoría de las veces es Indie folk-pop y Griega.

Pues gente tienen que venir a vivir esta experiencia y seguro como el resto, un lugar mas para esconderse de la ciudad...

Old time favorite coffee place. If you are around, visit! Quite road, nice people, lots of students and friendly atmosphere. Prices are good too. Used to go there to read my book, and still find it one of the best options in the area, either for coffee or beer, during a break or to stay...
