Mouria — Restaurant in Athens

For those of us living in this part of the city, Mouria is the iconic cafenio to be at on a Saturday afternoon right after the stroll at the vegetables street market. Relaxed atmosphere, noise from the discussions and cheap drinks, meze and coffee. No reservations are accepted. Just pop by and have a beer. The people working here are super nice. The people hanging out here are also nice (although this possibly refers to people I know mostly) . The place has not been renovated for decades... and we all hope it will not any time soon. I love it exactly as it is. Even when we have to stay standing at the pavement waiting for a chair or table while we already finish our second round of drinks.

No matter how ofter I return to this place- usually once or twice a week... it is still...

Nice place, classical Greek cafeteria. Young and old people seating together to enjoy their simply, tasty beverage. Lots of intelectual debate is occurring over the tables. During the weekends is always full and if the day helps which usually happens, people will seat outside. Busy...

επισκεφτήκαμε το καφέ παρασκευή ώρα λαικής λόγω της τεράστιας φήμης και των καλών κριτικών και δεν μείναμε καθόλου ευχαριστημένοι.πήραμε μια διπλή μερίδα μεζέ εντελώς άγευστη με παγωμένους κεφτέδες παγωμένα λουκάνικα,και παγωμένη πατάτα φούρνου και κάτι άλλα μικρά μεζεδάκια όπως ντολμάς κονσέρβας΄΄΄και ένα πιάτο μακαρόνια κοχίλια με μίδια επίσης προχθεσινό και παγωμένο και στεγνή σάλτσα...΄και .μετριωτατο τσίπουρο...οι τοίχοι και τα ταβάνια είχαν να βαφτούν κάτι χρόνια και είναι εμφανής η μαυρίλα και το ξεκώλημα της μπογιάς από τα ταβάνια,.τα διακοσμητικά και οι πίνακες στους τοίχους φτηνιάρικα και λάθος τοποθετημένα,.ανυπαρκτο συστημα εξαερισμού....,Εικόνα πλήρους παρακμής....προβληματίζομαι ειλικρινά γιατί τόσο καλές κριτικές γι αυτό το μαγαζί,εγώ προσωπικά δεν θα ξαναπεράσω με την παρέα...
