The restaurant is located in the cool and young part of town. There are trees in front and it's not hot in the evenings. For context, I was there on a date night with my girlfriend who likes salads / fish / mediterranean foods, and I like meats / mushrooms / cheeses.
The staff is very friendly and the owners came to check up on us multiple times. The atmosphere is very Greek and it's lovely. Inside there are 3-4 tables and it can get rather loud. The menu is 1 page long with specials of the day, a very good sign that the dishes are done in a focused and precise manner.
My girlfriend got salads and octopus, which she liked a lot. The octopus was chewy but everything else was delicious and prepared well.
I got grilled goat cheese and slow cooked lamb. The goat cheese was fantastic and the slow cooked lamb was very juicy and tasted great. I recommend a beer to go with it, fits well.
The presentation was on a very good level too, it made the food even more appetizing and appealing.
The good flavours and presentation combined with the nice atmosphere and friendly staff made it one of the places we'd like to visit again when we're back in Athens....
Read moreOverall the food was fine, I would recommend the Greek Salad and the aubergine salad. Pitty for the service and atmosphere.
Service: We ordered starters and main dishes. Before ordering we were provided with a good overview and recommendations by the manager. Pitty that once we had orderered the food was served all at once (we clearly asked to start with some starters to share and main dishes to be served at a later stage).
Atmosphere: We were two familes with kids and, although the restaurant was almost empty for a Saturday evening, we were assigned a table just in front of the counter (basically where all people came to pay and the restaurant owners where preparing beers and check bills). Also, at one point during the dinner, might have been 20:30 so not the end of the service, the managers/owners started setting up the tables all around us making quite a lot of noise whilst we were not finished with dining - we felt like they wanted to send us home and close for the evening (there was just our table inside and one other guests) outside.
Should the managers/owners care a bit more about their customers and servi e we would consider...
Read moreI visited here twice. First time late at night on the first day of an 11 day vacation with 2 friends which included a trip to Mykonos.
The second time was the night before leaving, as the food experience really was the best we had on our trip and we wanted to end it on a high note.
The food here is very good and presented beautifully, it shows that the kitchen cares a lot. There are daily specials too!
The service is also very friendly and hard working.
The inside seating is cozy but can get quite loud if there are many guests due to it being a little small so if you are sensitive to sound ask to sit outside if it's not too hot outside.
For tourists: English knowledge is OK although some answers to questions about the food were terse to the point of being confusing. Tried asking about the seasoning in the excellent savory Hummus but got an answer about it being/including Fava beans.
Feedback to Restaurant: The menu card could be a bit clearer in regards to starters/mains and also some items include bread but do...
