Απόλυτα υπέροχο μέρος ! Απίστευτοι άνθρωποι δηλαδή η ενέργεια που έχει το μαγαζί είναι μαγική ... Καλά και η ποιότητα των ποτών θεϊκή ... ΤΟ ΚΑΙΝΟΎΡΙΟ ΜΟΥ ΣΤΕΚΙ .. Συγχωρέστε με για το μακρινάρι που θα ακολουθήσει αλλά η εμπειρία που έχω από αυτό το μέρος και άτομα είναι πραγματικά κάτι πολύ ξεχωριστό για μένα ..Μετά από ένα χρόνο περίπου επιβεβαιώνω ότι το μαγαζί όντως έγινε το στέκι μου … σαν μια φοιτήτρια η οποία πήγε πρώτη φορά στην Κρήτη ... ήταν μια μεταβατική περίοδο καθώς έφυγα από την ασφάλεια της οικογένειας μου και βρέθηκα σε ένα νησί που δεν είχα δικό μου άτομο .. μέχρι που γνώρισα τα παιδιά .. μετά από μια τραγική έξοδο ( όχι στο μαγαζί ) την επόμενη μέρα ήμουν ταραγμένη και δεν ήθελα να βγω από το σπίτι μου και να πάω στην παράσταση του κωμικού που είχα κλείσει εισιτήριο .. έλα μου που αποφασίζω να πάω .. ήταν νομίζω μια από τις καλύτερες αποφάσεις που θα μπορούσα να πάρω .. 4 Νοεμβρίου 2021 .. πηγαίνω στο μαγαζί όπου με καλωσορίζουν σαν να ήμουν παλιά φίλη .. (και είναι η πρώτη φορά που πάω στο μαγαζί ενώ είναι ανοιχτό ) .. ένα βράδυ το οποίο με έκανε να μείνω στον Άγιο κάτι που δεν γνώριζαν πολλοί .. ένιωσα ασφάλεια , ήπια το ποτό μου, έκανα τον αργιλέ μου και γέλασα με την ψυχή μου τότε άφησα και την πρώτη κριτική μου .. από εκεί και πέρα ήμουν σχεδόν κάθε μέρα εκεί , πολλές φορές κάνοντας και τις εργασίες μου συνοδευόμενη από μια ζέστη σοκολάτα και ένα πιο θερμό κλίμα .. ακολούθησαν πολλές εμπειρίες με διαφορετικά άτομα όσο εξοικειωνόμουν με την πόλη με σταθερό παρανομαστή το Αρόδο .. έγινε η βάση μου .. το στήριγμα μου καθώς και το μέρος όπου άρχισα να βγαίνω από το καβούκι μου και να γνωρίζω καινούργιο απίστευτο κόσμο .. όσες φουρτούνες κι αν ήρθαν στο δρόμο μου ήξερα ότι είχα τα παιδιά στο αρόδο να είναι το λιμάνι μου .. δεν υπάρχουν λόγια για την αγάπη και την ευγνωμοσύνη που νιώθω ..

Alrighty then I apologise for the long text that will follow but the importance this place has in my heart can’t be described in a few short sentences.. the amount I’ll write is still not enough to how I feel about Arodo and the people that accompany it.. as a new student starting my new chapter in my life, alone in uncharted waters with no familiar people in Crete I was scared especially after a bad night out ( not in Arodo) the following day I still felt uneasy to go out on my own as a woman and was debating whether to go to the stand up comedy show I bought a ticket for … 4th of November 2021 .. the night I spent there drinking a cocktail, enjoying my shisha and laughing my heart out at the jokes while also being welcomed like an old friend (mind you I’d never been before) is I think the monumental moment where I decided to give it a go and stay in Agios Nikolaos .. because I found my safe place.. having people I knew I could turn to in a moment of trouble.. I experienced a lot of new things and important moments some difficult and painful others the most joyful in my life.. no matter how rough the storm got I always had Arodo as my safe harbour.. a place that has witnessed my evolve to the woman I am today.. I love everything and everyone there and they will always hold a special place...

Arodo is everything you want. The owners and their staff are SO welcoming and clearly love this bar they are building. Every year, I've seen them change and improve things. My favourite new addition is the ceiling of cascading fairy lights.

This is a bar of such γεύση - of such taste. The cocktails are full of beautiful fresh flavours. The shisha options are chosen with care. The music is just one banger of a tune after another (80s and 90s hits that have you dancing from your chair). The snacks, especially the chicken schnitzel club sandwich, are worth missing a meal from all the more traditional delights that Crete's tavernas have to offer.

Arodo feels like you're stepping into an adult version of Central Perk from Friends. It's one of the reasons that we keep returning to Agios Nikolaos. And you should be so lucky to visit. Just not on a day when the bar downstairs does live music, because then they intrude for a few hours on the...

Arodo is a not just a bar, it’s an experience. I’ve been going there for years, it has some of the sweetest and friendliest staff I’ve ever met, fantastic food and drinks with a lot of variety. In addition they always come up with new items to keep things fresh while also keeping around the fan favourites. It’s a place where you can let go of your worries, a place to hang out with friends and a place that never fails to cheer you up.
