Disappointing and discriminatory. We ate here yesterday evening. We started off looking at the menu when a waiter approached us with the usual tactics to get us to eat there. We explained that my daughter is vegetarian and was directed to certain dishes ie pasta. We decided to try it and when placing our order my daughter opted for the Neapolitana pasta. The waiter told her she should eat meat and chicken soup to give her vitamins. We found this highly offensive especially as we had already mentioned her dietary requirements before sitting down. My daughter was mortified and almost burst in tears. When the food arrived hers was basic spaghetti tossed in watery tomato ketchup. There was no sauce accompanying the dish as shown in the menu. The staff then appeared to insult every person that didn’t accept their invite to dine there. One male member of staff constantly walks behind you while sat down and looks over your shoulder, it made uncomfortable eating. At one point my son (who is an adult) was told by the waiter to eat his pitta bread with his fingers as it tastes better!!! Next thing the staff started clearing tables ready for closing and this was only around 9:15pm. We felt rushed to leave so paid the bill and did. One last point, I saw staff smoking, touching money, card payment machines and menus and not once saw them sanitise...
Read moreWhile the food was generally good and overall enjoyable, the staff and business practices left a lot to be desired. When we walked by, staff were very friendly (and almost uncomfortably pushy), but this politeness was considerably less apparent as soon as we sat down. Unlike any other restaurant we visited in Greece, no complimentary food or even tap water was offered or given. We ordered hummus as a starter, which we thought was reasonably priced at €3. When it was given to us, we were informed this only covered the hummus, and were charged separately for bread. Even though it was only €1.50, we weren't told this when we ordered the bread or hummus. This just seems excessively complicated - making customers order these separately and charging separately could be far simplified by simply selling hummus and bread for €4.50. The restaurant was very nicely decorated and had a wonderful view, which persuaded us to eat there far more than any of the employee's efforts. This charm unfortunately couldn't compensate for the rest of our experience. To anyone considering spending your evening here, we encourage you to...

“It’s a trap”. If you are a Star Wars fan and a food lover, that quote probably applies best to the restaurant.
On our first night out, we made the mistake of not using Google reviews first. Unfortunately, we were rather insistently ushered into the restaurant from the street by one of the waiters.
We had several dishes, including three starters and two main menus. The pita bread and eggplant mousse was average at best. The Tzatziki was good though.
Both main courses had been rather disappointing. The lamb was fatty and smelled old, the meat temperature was low. It didn’t get the feeling it was grilled freshly. The vegetables gratin was okaish, yet not very well seasoned.
The atmosphere was rather uncomfortable. The service staff constantly positioned themselves around the table and were rather awkwardly chewing gums. The main waiter seemed to constantly cussing when he was not able to lure more tourists into the restaurant.
In summary, not a great gourmet start for the first day in Crete. Do...
