TWINS — Restaurant in Municipality of Agios Nikolaos

I will start by listing the positive characteristics of this place. All of my coworkers agreed that the staff was kind and helpful, it was a spacious area which was by the port, making it a nice dining experience. However, I was disappointed by the quality of the food. While the menu listed their fries as “fresh” the fries given to us were clearly frozen. Moreover, the mozzarella sticks were a portion of 6 for 7€, and they seemed to be frozen too. The souvlaki I enjoyed, but it was served with a side of the re-fried potatoes which ruined the vibe of the dish. The burgers my coworkers had were all enjoyable (the veggie and chicken burger) and the tzatziki was good. At first I also thought that the pigeons there would attack us, but it was part of my psychological sit seems. Finally, the club sandwich was described by my colleague as “value for money, quite enjoyable”, but that means something as he is Moldovan. Overall, it is important to inform that this wouldn’t be the best place for a filling quality meal, but for a pass time by the port and a good time. In November 2017 i ate here twice. It was quiet. Tourist season was gone. The first time, i ate the most delicious calamari ever. I was the only person in the restaurant. The service was okish but i wouldn't want to go there if it's packed. The second time i ate the most perfect hamburger I've ever eaten in all of my 47 years. The burger was perfectly stacked. I ate it with a knife and fork. Unlike ALL other burgers, nothing slipped out of the stack at any time. Up until the very last bite. I'm really impressed. So often i really would like a burger to eat. With the top of the bun remaining ontop of the burger instead of having to be removed due to design problems: ) Twins's food is delectable if i have to judge by what i had to eat when i was there. I came here around 3PM on a Tuesday in early July 2022 on a tour bus from Heraklion. Since I only had an hour here, we decided to come here to get a snack before the drive back. We stopped here because it was right by the water and a good amount of people were already eating here.

We ordered the espresso with vanilla ice cream, a normal espresso, the 3 piece kabob, and the Greek salad with the feta on the side. The espresso with vanilla ice cream was really good. The kabob was also very tasty. The Greek Salad was fresh but lacked flavor so we added a bunch of salt to it.

The restrooms were fine except that the lights turned off automatically when it does not detect motion. I was a bit too short to trigger the sensor so I was left in the dark until I stood up. Thankfully, I had my...
