An Italian restaurant located in the old town. It's crowded and requires a reservation. When we arrived, the receptionist, Elena, unfortunately needed more training on how to deal with customers. We arrived early, and she refused to seat us. When our reservation time came, she offered us the worst table or asked us to wait until another table became available, even though there were other empty tables. She refused to let us sit, so we waited another 5 minutes. When another non-Arab family arrived without a reservation, she immediately seated them at a better table than the one she had offered us. While we were waiting, an Arab family arrived without a reservation, and she refused to seat them, claiming there were no available tables.
After being seated, we spoke to them about her poor behavior, and she mentioned that she didn't offer us the other table because she assumed we would reject it. Unfortunately, the management needs to train her more and to treat all tourists equally. Once seated, we ordered several dishes: Caesar salad, which was good, pizza, which was also good, as well as delicious pasta and decent risotto. The Milanese cutlet was also good. Overall, the food...
Read moreThe staff here are very odd and really rude. They put 4 waters on our bill instead of 2 and when we asked them to remove it they insisted we paid first (we were paying card) and then they would give us the change back from overpaying. Really really odd never encountered something like this before? We were also leaving the next morning to a country which doesn’t use euro so we didn’t really want to have cash but we just said it was fine as they were making such a huge deal out of it.
Then we told the waiter to add on the 10% extra for his tip as we were a big group so we felt it was only fair to tip, he simply replied “this has been the most stressful payment I have ever had to make”??? No thank you just a complaint and an eye roll. Also I wouldn’t mind if we were being rude or causing a fuss. We simply just asked if they could remove it and when they said no we asked why.
I have never in my life experienced something of the sort.
The food was decent but wayyyy overpriced for the quality and we had to ask many times for Parmesan and pepper before receiving it. I wouldn’t bother...
Read moreThe food here really was delicious but the service was next level bad. So bad it was actually really funny. We felt like we were in that restaurant in the states where the staff are really rude on purpose! It took forever to have our order taken and then we wanted to take our time over our starter which seemed to make all the floor staff hate us. The second our starter plates were cleared, our pasta was plonked down without anyone asking how things were at all (delicious, not that they cared). I then asked for our plates to be cleared as we had been left for so long and the waiter actually laughed out loud at my audacity. As soon as the manger came out to furiously drain a cigarette, things slotted into place. He gave no smile or friendliness and looked like he wanted a fight. One should lead by example and if the manager hates hospitality then the staff will too. No no no lita unless you want a good laugh at...
