Hotel Telchinia — Hotel in Municipality of Chania

Why would I give a 2 star hotel a 5 star review? Well, simply put the service from this family run hotel was above and beyond.

The straff had a truly genuin and calming approach to your every want and need. You felt at home without feeling like it was a practised and forced 'all smiles' service from the owners.

We were also pleasantly surpriced by the quaint taverna that opened up its luminous garden in front of the hotel. Me and my partner both felt like the pictures doesn't give credit to the reality.

Do you get what you pay for regarding the rooms? Absolutely. It's nothing fashionable. But the beds were really nice (if you enjoy a firm feel) and the cleanlyness was on point.

Concerning your budget and what that would have payed for in a 2 star hotel we sertainly got spoiled. Therefore they get 5 stars from us. We have nothing to...

Most of the stars goes to the family/staff at the hotel. Lovely helpful people.

A simple hotel that has everything you need, with no extra luxury. A small pool area that we didn’t use, because it’s so close to the beach.

It’s also really easy to get to Chania with bus number 21 close by. Just buy a ticket at the small store next to the hotel for 1.20€. Bring cash! Because you can’t buy bus ticket with credit card.

AC is 5€ extra per day, so have that in mind when you plan your budget, because you can’t live without it. At least during nights in July.

Cleaning was ok. They didn’t switch our bed linings during the whole week. I don’t know, maybe you have to ask for it. Good for the environment at least.

Oh, one more thing. The WiFi is really bad. At least in our room (10).

We stayed there this summer for two weeks in June. Agii Apostoli was a nice place near Chania. And weather was fantastic.||||But the hotel was a little disappointment for us although it was situated very well. The room was okay but the toilet and the shower especially was poor. Also the balcony was horrible (too small to spend time).||||But we had a lovely time in Agii Apostoli. We didn´t spend much time at the hotel so the weak standard of it didn´t bother us that much. By the way we can recommend the restaurant in hotel Talos near hotel Telchinia. The food was fantastic there but we don´t complain the quality of the food in taverna Teclhinia either.||||The cleaning lady with eyeglasses was the best thing in this hotel.
