Flamingos Hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Chania

We recently stayed for 9 nights at Flamingos Hotel and Apartments in Chania with our family, and I want to take a moment to thank the lovely staff for making our holiday so enjoyable.

A special thank you to Antonia, the manager, for being so warm, friendly, and generous throughout our stay. To the wonderful housekeeping team – especially the lovely mum and daughter – thank you for being so friendly and kind, and for doing such an outstanding job. Our room was spotless every day, with freshly cleaned floors, towels, and sheets. And to Christina at the bar – your bright smile and friendliness made every visit a pleasure.

The rooms are very well equipped and super clean. The swimming pool is perfect for relaxing, and we loved the happy hours at the bar from 15:00 to 17:00.

The location could not have been better for us – right at the doorstep of beautiful Sunset Beach and surrounded by great restaurants. A short bus ride takes you straight into Chania town or to other nearby beaches.

On our departure day, with an evening flight, we were able to enjoy the pool a bit longer, and the hotel kindly provided us with fresh towels and access to their dedicated changing facility so we could shower and change before leaving – a thoughtful touch that made all the difference.

Great rooms, very comfortable and very very practical. Amazing location, also near the public traffic stops should you want to visit Chania. The whole hotel is also super clean, from the rooms to the pool and the common breakfast area (from what I gather it is also sustainably run); and the room service was impeccable, always on time and ready to provide you with anything they sense that you need in the room. Also, very nice ladies. Now, the attitude of the staff was the thing that really made the stay stand out from any other we have had in Greece. They were amazingly friendly, very accommodating and quick to provide you with anything you need. The reception works till late hours and no joke, they make no excuses and always give some sort of solution to any problem that arises. Also, they respond to emails very quickly. We spent six days and seven nights at Flamingos Hotel with my partner. This hotel is not meant for those seeking luxury or for pretentious guests. The rooms have a rather vintage atmosphere, and if that’s what you’re looking for, you’ll definitely enjoy your stay. That’s exactly what we wanted, so we were fully satisfied with the room we received.

The beach (Sunset Beach) is about 200–300 meters away, and there’s a mini market on the way. You can easily walk to the beach in your swimsuit.

Room cleaning is occasionally a bit inconsistent, and the breakfast selection doesn’t change much, but these are minor issues compared to the beautiful view, the spacious balcony, and the well-functioning air conditioning.
