CROPS SUITES — Hotel in Municipality of Heraklion

We were greeted at the airport by a driver as this is part of the extremely reasonable accommodation cost. We were then driven to our accommodation and greeted by the extremely charming Yiannis after 11pm. The apartment is on the top floor, but there is a small lift which is perfect for luggage, so that went up in the lift, while we climbed the stairs to the top floor. He gave us a detailed rundown of the apartment. The kitchen table was set for 4 people for breakfast with food. So thoughtful. We were hungry and Yannis recommended Vranas just a few minutes walk away. We had an amazing meal with great service and complimentary Raki and deserts. The bed was surprisingly good as were the pillows. I was sceptical as I think they were tempur, but so comfortable. There is a sofa which turns into 2 single beds which our children slept in. There also appeared to be 2 bottles of wine for us which were complimentary. We drank one of them. The breakfast consisted of bread, cereal, juice, eggs, jams etc. After we checked out the next morning and were waiting for our lift Yiannis and his beautiful wife appeared asking if all ok. Thankfully Yiannis rang our driver who could not find us and sorted everything out. We are disappointed we did not spend more time in Heraklion. We highly recommend Crops apartments. It has to be the best value around! Yiannis could not do...

We had a lovely unit at Crops suites and thoroughly enjoyed our week there. Anthi & Yiannis were great hosts, welcoming us when we arrived and giving us info on the local area and where we might like to go. The unit we had was on the 4th floor - but there is a lift ! The views were great from the bright airy bedroom or the living area. All the facilities were as listed in the description on the site and worked fine. There was reverse cycle heater/coolers in each room so all types of weather could be catered for. The large balcony provided a stunning view of the city.||||There was a local supermarket just up the road so getting provisions/drink etc was easy. The unit is within the old town walls and easy walking distance to shops/restaurants etc. A lovely breakfast tray was provided each day; there was a local bottle of wine provided on arrival.||||In summary, comfortable, serviced, well equipped, conveniently located, well provisioned and with great hosts, ready to help at any time. Location is right by tourist areas which is great. No parking, but you probably don't want to be driving around there. No reception area but were very nice and quick to respond via WhatsApp. Breakfast was simple, 4 piece bread litre of milk, 2 orange juice boxes, 4 or 5 pieces of white bread a substantial bag of corn flakes ( for two people) a bunch of spread for the toast/bread) cream for coffee butter 2 eggs uncooked, tea and fruit ( 2 pieces first day apple and pear, 4 pieces second day.

2 AC units to keep cool and a little stocked kitchen and basic supplies.

Foam mattresses and pillows which were fine for us.

Paid a fair price below 80 per night for two nights in mid may. Apartment fits the price detailwise but was perfectly fine for a large island good location low price stay.

Only complaint is so much of Greece has not figured out showers. The curtain isn't perfect and will spray onto bathroom floor, but this was common among our stay at 3 other locations...
