The service was impeccable, the staff members were very helpful and recommended both dishes and menu changes to our liking, which proved to be very advantageous. The cutlery was clean, as were the plates, but the glasses were a little scratched. However, they didn't smell of chlorine or vinegar, which is the most important thing. We were offered a large bottle of water on the house. The food was very good. We had avocado toast and omelet (the menu had fried eggs, but the waiter recommended the omelet because it was much better, and he was right). We also had a chicken sandwich, which was very, very good, with crispy, fresh bread and well-cooked chicken, the vegetables and cheese were just as good, another 2 toasts with cheese and turkey, also well fried and tasty, waffles with peanut butter, super fluffy and flavorful, the fruits were just as good and made a big difference because the butter was very sweet and the fruits gave it a fresh tone, and the 2 frappes were just as good. Everything came in less than 15 minutes, the prices were very good, all of this cost us 32 euros (frappes (x2) - 6€, turkey toast (x2) - 6€, chicken sandwich - 5€, avocado toast - 7€, peanut butter pancakes - 8€). The location is quiet, clean, and close to the park. We had a great time and will definitely be back...
Read moreA hidden gem in Kos! We ended up having breakfast & lunch here several days in a row because the food at our hotel just didn’t compare. At first, we tried a different spot each morning, which was fine, but then we discovered this absolute gem, and we were hooked. Alchimion is a must-visit when you’re in Kos! Everything we tried from the menu was delicious. Fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. (I recommend the pancakes 🥞) But what made our experience truly memorable was the service.
A huge shoutout to Vaggelis, our waiter, who was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. He patiently encouraged us as we tried ordering in Greek, gave us great tips, and even taught us a few words and phrases. By the end of our stay, we didn’t just find a great restaurant, we made a new friend. Honestly, give this man a raise! We absolutely loved it here and can’t wait to...
Read moreHands down the best coffee shop in Kos (and probably one of the best in Greece). Coffees are all amazing: you can choose beans for your espresso or hand-brew and all are extracted perfectly! They also do brunch, and food is as good as the coffee. Last but not least the owner Giwrgos and his friend Baggelis made us feel at home, or better, they made us feel like family! We’ve stayed one week in Kos and we visited every single day (sometimes even twice a day). I’d give 6 stars if...
