STUNNING - for both the food and the views. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Was there for 2 hrs throughout the entirety of sunset and the colors kept changing and becoming more and more brilliant. Call ahead (day prior at least) for reservations and ask for the best sunset view. There are 4 tables that are best situated for the view. Be prepared...everyone else thinks so too, and any number of people will be routing through those tables for pics. It's irresistible.
The owner was very kind and recommended a few dishes. There is something for everyone - beef, pork, chicken, pasta, and seafood.
For starters, we had the skordalia, bread and the grilled shrimp with mango tabbouleh. The shrimp was heavily spiced but we agreed that it was amazing. Never had tabbouleh prepared like this. Very refreshing.
Mains: tagliatelle with pesto, and the grilled squid with steamed greens. Both excellent. Best meal we've had in Greece. Had a delicious white wine as well.
You shouldn't be disappointed. My guess - they cook everything as excellent...
Read moreI don't really like leaving negative reviews but I think this one must be shared. Most of the plates that we ordered didn't have enough salt, so they weren't tasty at all. The plates came extremely quick but not in a good way, they were premade and ready in the plates and they were cold. Not just room temperature, cold, especially the Ossobuco. They asked us how we liked our steak, we answered medium rare and after one minute a well done steak was at our table. I don't know how a place like this gets so many good reviews. The service was very kind and helpful, even kind enough to offer us a dessert. But even then, there was a paper wrap in it when we ate it. Maybe their signature dishes are fish oriented...As for us, totally disappointed. Don't trust Google...
Read moreWe visited this (off the beaten path) restaurant after a recommendation from a very well known Greek chef. We went early, so we had the time to talk with the owner, who is a lovely woman who enjoys talking to her guests. She tols us that she experiments all winter long in order to perfect her dishes for the summer. Inspired by the recipes of her mother-in-law and adding her own twists, she has come up with some phenomenal greek dishes like the chickpeas and the squid which were amazing. Even the very simple tomato/corn salad was exactly what we needed on a warm summer day to cool down. Take the walk from busy Plaka down to Trypiti and Ergina, you...
