We just left the Café and I have never felt so blatantly deceived. First, there is no cocktail menu. Ok, you have to say which drink you want when you pay. Since there was no menu and my daughter wanted a Mojito, I told the cashier that I would like 2 Mojitos. The menu said that the price for alcoholic cocktails was 9 Euros, but we were charged 12 Euros for each one. I imagine that because of the party that was going on at the church across the street they increased the price, but ok. I didn't even question it because the service was unfriendly. When I handed in the ticket at the bar, I asked if she made Mai Tai, she said yes, and I asked if I could exchange one of the Mojitos for a Mai Tai, she said yes, no problem. We waited for the cocktails, when I saw that she put 2 Mojitos on the counter. I thought it was strange and told my boyfriend to ask her if she had remembered that one of the cocktails was a Mai Tai. She kept the 2 Minutes on the counter and in 1 minute handed him a half-filled glass and said it was a Mai Tai. He handed it to me and I immediately said: this is not a Mai Tai. It doesn't even have the color of a Mai Tai. I took a sip and it obviously had nothing to do with a Mai Tai. It was pure lemon with Bacardi and 3 ice cubes. I went back and politely asked if it was a Mai Tai, if there was any mistake. The girl who makes the drinks said it was. I asked where was the orange juice or liqueur? The Curaçao? She said she used orange Triple Sec but even if she had used that it is never a Mai Tai and my boyfriend saw her making the drink and said she only used Bacardi. Anyway, to avoid arguing, I gave up trying to convince her that it wasn't a Mai Tai but honestly, considering the price, I thought it was absurd to try to fool a customer. They must think that no one understands drinks, it's not possible. I'm Brazilian and I know all kinds of drinks, I was really irritated that they tried...
Read moreThis is a proper tourist trap, I don’t understand how it got such a good rating. High prices, bad service and poor quality. For instance the avocado cream is just from the supermarket, you get served crisps from a bag, and the coffee is bad. We had some questions about whether the dishes contained milk and the staff clearly got annoyed and we got a “I don’t know”. The dishes are served with plastic cutlery and on unpractical cardboard plates and you have to sit on some uncomfortable chairs outside. There’s nothing Greek about this place apart from the people working there. I guess it tries to come an across as a hipster place but the difference is that most hipster places have good quality products. You should rather go to some of the many places with...
Read moreGreat coffee (asked for 2 shots), and the toasties and sandwiches were both great. Service was awesome. Car park is 100m up the hill so easy parking. Tip - roads are narrow as you go down or if you come from below, so come in from top (past main parking for Plaka) to the car park at top of hill...
