Methismeni Politia — Restaurant in Municipality of Milos

Real shame! Never the type to single star an establishment but felt the need to share. Came for dinner our first night in Milos expecting to be blown away. The view was nice and ambiance felt authentic. We got the zucchini balls and artichoke which were good, but the lamb in oven and rooster in wine were both extremely dry. Purposely we each only took a bite out of each in order to confirm the taste/toughness. When we addressed it, in the most quiet and pleasant way, the waiters not only made us feel like we were wrong and poked into the meat saying it’s moist and cooked to perfection but had us feeling as if we never ate lamb or a half bird before. No offer to remake the dishes or offer a refund for the poor quality, just gaslight us to believe the dishes were perfect. Truly a shame and we really expected better on both quality and communication with customers. Hopefully others can share better experiences but we both wished we looked deeper into the reviews because both these dishes seem to be a flop based on...

We visited Methismeni Politia in Milos after reading many positive reviews and had quite high expectations. Unfortunately, the experience was a bit disappointing.

The location was very busy – we waited around 30 minutes for a table. The outdoor terrace was nice and rustic, and the atmosphere overall was pleasant. The waiters were clearly understaffed for the number of guests, constantly rushing around, but they were doing their best to keep everyone happy.

Prices were on the higher side – although, to be fair, that seems to be the norm on Milos. We received our food quickly, but it didn’t live up to the hype from the reviews. I ordered tzatziki, which was very different from the traditional one – far too much sharp, spicy garlic – and they didn’t serve Greek pita, only bread, which was already provided at the beginning of the meal.

Overall, the food was mediocre for the price. If you’re in the area and have no other options, it’s fine, but I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way...

We had such a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant! From the moment we walked in, we were met with genuine smiles and truly welcoming attention. It's always a pleasure when the service sets such a positive tone right from the start. The food arrived quickly, which was fantastic, and the atmosphere was so calming and quiet – perfect for a relaxed meal. Our accommodation host recommended this spot, and we're incredibly happy we decided to come to this wonderful establishment. We absolutely highly recommend the pork kotosoubli; it was incredibly soft and bursting with flavor. We also tried the lamb in the oven with potatoes. While we found the lamb itself to be a bit dry, we still finished it, and honestly, that was the only minor hiccup in an otherwise perfect meal. Overall, this restaurant offers a fantastic combination of excellent service, a serene ambiance, and delicious food. We definitely recommend...
