We got a baklava, an orange cake and a ricotta puff. Absolutely delicious and well made but they charged us for two bottles of water without even asking us. I noticed this is a trend here in Mykonos. We didn't realize until after they served us the water. We could have made a scene but the pastries were just so flipping good that we didn't. Then I went back to get another ricotta puff because we loved it but it was clearly an old one not the same taste at all and was dry unlike the first one that was most fresh. So I give it 4 stars because they were a bit dishonest and I really don't appreciate that. They are lucky their food is so good though and they were nice but at the same time they ripped off us with a smile. My advice would be to ask customers if they want water and not charge without asking them like some places do here which is nice and if something is old just say it is and sell it for less. Delicious all...
Read moreGioras is a Mykonos must do - a unique slice of history hidden under the busy streetscape. Gioras and his wife are warm and friendly, and will happily have a chat with you about the bakery and show you the ovens. But the real treat is the baked goods - they are truly fantastic - the kind of thing I will remember in moments of hunger. You won't regret coming here, even if it is just to have a look and enjoy the smell of the bread. Their coffee is pretty good, too!
Keep your eyes peeled as the bakery is below ground and not...
Read moreWorst food and service ever. We choose this location based on recommendations, initially to have a local experience/breakfast. The cafe is filthy (sticky tables and chairs) and reeks of gasoline and sewer smell. The food that was served to us was disgusting (undrinkable coffee, burned industrial bread) and nothing local (industrial honey and butter). My friend and I forced ourselves to eat some of the bread and the coffee to avoid insulting the "poor owner" (and were intending to tip the guy because we thought he is struggling to keep the place open). To top it all, the greedy owner charged us 18 euros for 2 cups of coffee (paper cups) and 2 burned toasts. I do not recommend this place for all the reasons...
