Taverna Lakka Garden — Restaurant in Municipality of Mykonos

Very stunning family oriented Taverna with lovely live music. Also, if you like cats you will ❤️ this place! Plenty roaming around. The food was Amazing & High quality! My partner & I had dinnet here. We sttarted with the Appetizer variety, which was the perfect size for sharing. Followed by the Misto Frito which was an excellent choice! Crisp & fresh. When I say fresh, I am saying this because I was able to tell that the oil wasn't old. We also shared a Grilled Sea Bass which was cooked to Perfection. If the fish was any fresher it would have talked. 😆 At the end of our meal, we had coffee & dessert (karidopita & galaktoboureko), both were Yummy! As far as the Quality of Service, it was more than expected by Nikos, our waiter. He took excellent care of us & answered our questions about the menu in a promptly manner. He is an asset to the Tavern! If we should ever return to the island, we definitely will come & have lunch! Also, we will refer this establishment to friends & family...

For many years, Marco Polo was our go-to restaurant when visiting Mykonos. However, after learning that it was undergoing renovations, we decided to try Lakka Taverna, which is located next to Marco Polo.

Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. My expectations were already low, but I had hoped for at least a welcoming atmosphere. The service was adequate and food quality was subpar. To make matters worse, at the end of our meal, we noticed that every other guest was served an after-dinner sweet—something we didn’t receive. This left us feeling excluded and overlooked. Maybe a friendly talk may have not been a good idea in breaking the ice. Additionally, we left without so much as a thank you or goodbye from the staff.

I would not recommend this restaurant, especially when there are so many excellent establishments nearby where you can enjoy authentic Greek dining like their next-door...

If you’re looking for an authentic Greek dining experience, this taverna is an absolute gem. The seabass was nothing short of perfect—grilled to perfection with a delicate, crispy skin and flaky, flavorful meat that melted in the mouth. It’s the kind of dish that reminds you why Greek coastal cuisine is world-renowned.

The wine selection was equally impressive, with a local white that paired beautifully with the seafood. Crisp, refreshing, and well-balanced—it truly elevated the meal.

What really set the evening apart, though, was the staff. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. Their recommendations were spot on, and the service felt both attentive and relaxed, just like a proper Greek evening should be.
