I very rarely post negative reviews, but felt that it is necessary in this case as we were very disappointed after our visit to Krama.
I would like to start off by saying that the food was mostly great, the lamb was delicious as were the flavours in the desserts we tried, the only dish we found average was the chicken. The live singer/ DJ was also amazing and made a massive difference to the atmosphere in the restaurant, interacting with people and lifting the mood.
However the atmosphere (before the live music) and the service were terrible. Servers forgot our drinks multiple times, got a drink wrong at the table next to us (and the restaurant wasn't even busy). They were uninterested and even close to rude as they dropped off the forgotten drinks after being kindly reminded. The one waiter spent half his time chasing off a cat, while the head waiter (I think) told the table next to us that the cat was fine and left it under their table despite them insisting one of them is allergic!
One waiter who (at least to us) had been dull, uninterested and forgotten multiple drinks then brought the bill to another table. They were going to leave a 20% tip, however he practically demanded a 30% tip and gave a full speech about politics in Greece. This was very difficult to watch as it seemed to make them feel bad, and in my opinion 20% is already a good tip.
As we left, we were then spoken to warmly and very politely by the head waiter (possibly for the first time the entire evening) being asked if we "had been taken care of"...
Honestly I think they looked at us and judged us the moment we entered... and they decide from then onwards whether you'll be a 30% tipper or not, so they then treat you accordingly (probably why there are some very good reviews here too).
It really is a shame, and I genuinely suggest this restaurant reconsider its attitude towards ALL their customers, and try to give each and every one of them the best experience... Maybe then they would all be willing to leave more than enough tips, and it would be...

Read moreWe eat out a lot and all over the world. This was among the best meals we have ever had, and it was quite the surprise to us. Our server was Joseph (? because Greek pronunciation). He was exceptional. He loves what he does and knows his restaurant’s menu. By the end of the meal we were letting him pick the dishes and the wine and he was on point at every turn. The food was truly outstanding. There was even a vocal performer who added to the experience. I could go on but I’m tired and ready to turn in. What I will do is what I wish more people did, tell you what we had that was so good. Alba di Munte: white wine, not complex but went great with the following First course: Greek Salad. Very good. I know, it’s just a Greek salad, but the details made it great: the cheese, capers LEAVES, etc. 2nd course: Sea Bass Carpaccio and Greek Crab Switches wine to red: Dio Ellies: Medium bodied dry red: Merlot, Syrah and a Greek varietal 3rd course: shrimp kritharoto, Krama mushrooms and 12 hour lamb.
