La Gratella — Restaurant in Municipality of Nafplio

We visited as a young Couple. We ordered Veal Fillet, and the mushroom salad and 2 glasses of wine and bread.

The best thing we got served was the dish. The salad had only 2 cherry tomatoes cut in half and spread on the plate and 4 pieces of mushroom only. The spinach and rocket was very fresh and we enjoyed it but the quantity of the other incredients also of the cheese flakes was severely reduced and found the Salad missing variety and was not as expected.

The main plate the Veal Fillets was accompanied by Sweet Potatoes and salad. Unfortunately the plate had only 2 small pieces of sweat potatoes (less than 1 small size actual sweet potatoe). The sweat potatoe was amazing but we could not enjoy it as much as we were expecting as the quantity was severely reduced. This was unexpected.

Everything we got served was indeed of very good quality and fresh but there is pattern here of delivering less quantity and perceived value to the customer than expected. Everything was very good but poorly served and the overall customer experience was impacted severely. Especially for the cost of each item we ordered (Oct/22)

Regarding the service, they had 3 people but we waited 45 minutes just to order. However the lead time to actual service post ordering was reduced and was on time.

We are used to eating in higher upper class restaurants like this both in Greece and abroad. We give it a 3 Star Rating based on the feedback provided above regarding meeting customer expectations. This could have been a 1 Star Rating if the lead time to actual serving the food was longer or if anything else was looking quality and taste.

We paid about 55€...

A beautiful small restaurant (trattoria) serving italian food at the centre of Nafplio. Me and my 3 friends chose to have dinner there.

We had one salad, two pastas, and a pizza. Portions were just fine, by the time we had finished our food we were full. The salad specifically gave us a great impression as the flavours it compiled complimented one another perfectly (we had the one with prosciutto, honey-mustard sauce, green salad and green apple). The pastas were also very good, flavourful and filling. As for the pizza we had the tartufata, a pizza bianca with mushrooms and truffle which was really good.

When it came to the staff and service, the workers made us feel comfortable as they were friendly and helpful towards anything we needed.

Overall, a nice place with very good meals and portions and excellent staff. Would rate it 5 stars but prices are a little too high (the pizza for example costed 17€). I'd imagine this is because of it being near the main plaza of Nafplio and it itself being a heavy tourist attraction. Would recommend though for the excellent...

I went there and ordered the filled with porcini pasta. Mushrooms were not fresh so they were dried out -no problem with that. However the mushrooms weren't neither cooked not cleaned well. They weren't soaked in water well (possibly they weren't soaked AT ALL) as they were still dry and hard and I had the unpleasantness to chew on some nice rocks too, as they weren't cleaned well or again AT ALL.

And as this wasn't enough of a bad experience, I informed the service the girls understood well the issue. One men of the service said sorry but this is one of our best dishes...and the restaurant's head waiter came and told me this is one of our best dishes and whatsoever, didn't even apologize and just offered to make a new one.

Of course I didn't order the same plate. The other one was very flat in taste, i got gnocchi with tomato sauce and cheese. Gnocchi weren't fresh, they came 100% out of the box.
