Simply awesome. The staff seemed a little gruff to start but once you talk to them (like they are people and not by rude tourists) then they will crack a smile and be very pleasant. To start, the tzatziki was flavoursome with plenty of bread (not a little roll like some places). Even the salad of tomato & cucumber was great - the tomatoes actually were fresh and had flavour. I’ve never had baked feta before (in foil with tomato, capsicum, herbs) it was so good I immediately googled it so I could try it at home. It looked simple but was soooo nice (lucky I had a little bread left for the juices). To be honest, the moussaka looked plain but the meat was soft and full of flavour. It was delightful. I’m not sure if the live music was because of a big tour group or are regular but they played easy listening Greek music.
Please - if you are in Nafplio do yourself a favour and try this place. Stick to traditional dishes and you...
Read moreWe went to this place suggested by the tour guide we had. We stopped here and literally had one hour for lunch before we continued on our bus tour. We had to wait 45 MINUTES FOR A SALAD!!!!!!!! The people from the tour group were the only ones there and they had a set menu waiting for them on arrival...and then, when I went to pay, he didn't have any change for cash (something happened and couldn't use card either). He had to ask his waiters and kitchen staff to pull their money to give me the change. We didn't have any time left to even explore the town. Very disappointing experience. A shame because when the food finally came, it was good, but not worth the trouble. Who knows if and when ill ever be able to visit...
Read moreReview of 9th May 2018 - First taste of Greek food, they served us Greek salad, fried feta cheese, french fries, zucchini balls and chicken souvlaki with rice. The dessert was some pudding. The dishes were tasty. Its said Indians prefer spicy and not bland, but fortunately /unfortunately m not one of them who likes prefers spicy , so could easily finish off the meal. The service was bit slow, probably because they might not have served a group of 41 people. The vegans were served similar apart from chicken souvlaki, they were served boiled veggies or something like that, which actually didn't go down to their taste; but that's fine given all taste buds differ. On my part, I enjoyed my meal and hoping to visit this...
