Humiliating and unforgettable experience
I visited Pisina Restaurant, located in Marinas Eas, Athens, expecting a refined dining experience in line with the standard of my stay at the Hotel. What I encountered instead was one of the most degrading and frustrating experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. On Saturday, July 12, I had a very special dinner planned — a first date that was meaningful to me. I had contacted the restaurant via WhatsApp 10 hours in advance to ask about the menu and make a reservation. They ignored my message and never followed up in time. At exactly 8:10 p.m., just before sunset and the time of my scheduled meeting, I went to the restaurant personally and stood at the counter to look at the menu — since they had failed to respond. As I was reviewing the options, a waiter approached me and told me I couldn't be there. Surprised, I asked, "So I can’t be here, right?" He looked at me and simply said, "No." I turned my back and walked away — humiliated and deeply disappointed. To make it worse, they refused to provide an English menu and only gave me one in Greek. I was treated with visible contempt and arrogance, as if I didn't belong there. That night was ruined. I lost the chance to offer something special to someone, all because of the cold, discriminatory and careless attitude of this establishment. I will never forget this date. And you, Pisina Restaurant, will never have my appreciation — nor the recommendation of anyone within my extensive network of friends and professional contacts. This behavior is unacceptable in any context, especially in a city that thrives on tourism. Avoid this place at all costs if you value respect, dignity, and hospitality. I Wonder why Pisina is famous, only for Instagram pictures? If you, tourist, look better with your own eyes, and take a walk by the Marina you Will find much better places to have a awesome experience with a...
Read moreI have had the pleasure of dining at Pisina Cafe Bar in Marina Zeas, Piraeus, on numerous occasions, and it has consistently been a delightful experience. The venue itself is stunning, offering a picturesque setting with a large pool that guests can enjoy until 6 pm. The ambiance is particularly magical when there is live music, adding to the overall charm and making for a memorable evening.
The recent changes to the menu have noticeably improved the quality and taste of the food. However, this improvement has come with a trade-off; the portion sizes have decreased, and the prices have increased. Despite this, the dishes remain delicious, and the culinary experience is still very satisfying.
The staff at Pisina Cafe Bar are exceptionally friendly, contributing to the welcoming atmosphere of the place. However, one area for improvement is their attentiveness. On several occasions, we had to remind them multiple times about our orders, which can be a bit frustrating. That said, their warmth and hospitality more than make up for this minor inconvenience.
Overall, Pisina Cafe Bar is a beautiful spot to unwind, especially during the evenings with live music. The scenic views, combined with the inviting pool and delicious food, make it a top choice for dining in Marina Zeas. While the portion sizes and prices could be better balanced, the overall experience is delightful, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy a pleasant meal in a...
Read moreI was there two times. First time was nearly perfect: good ambiance, good food, good drinks and quite good service. We also got some Fresh fruits for free as a gesture.
Second time was absolutely catastrophic and so much that I can’t really recommand to any friend of mine to go there. Food was tasty as always but service was not even close! There was a lot of waiting time even though it wasn’t the week-end (like 1st time) and there were not a lot of people.
Even when they noticed us (like we looked into our eyes) they wouldn’t come to get our order for dessert and some more drinks. Empty glasses hadn’t been taken care of and remained on the table until the end.
We also ordered a narguilé (shisha) but it was poorly done and the tabac was totally burnt… They were like « are you sure you are using it correctly… » and it took some long time Before they admitted their error and made us a new one. It was fine but I can tell you that there are some waaaaaaaay better shishas in Athens City center!
But it gets worse! They applied themselves a generous tip at the end WITHOUT asking (they always ask kindly in Greece) and sadly we didn’t notice while paying.
At the end it costed 190€ for 3 people but it wasn’t worth it!!!
Its very sad because the place is nice and has great potential. Quality of food is also great. I’m often in Athens and I have a lot of familiy living abroad and I wanted to suggest them this place. Well, I will suggest...
