We first discovered To Sefteri four years ago and couldn’t wait to return – it’s just as wonderful as we remembered. Back then I had the Soutzoukakia meatballs and dolmades, easily the best I’ve ever eaten.
This time we enjoyed a fresh Greek salad, feta dip, the most delicious moussaka I’ve ever tasted, and keftedes meatballs. Every dish was authentic, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour.
The taverna is small, intimate, and only a stone’s throw from the fortress. The owners are warm and welcoming, and you really feel they value your visit.

For example, I wouldn't ordinarily bother to enthuse about chips/French fries, but they were wonderful - real potato, cooked to perfection and flavored with herbs. It’s slightly set back from the harbour area and could be difficult to find, but totally worth it. We had a mezee of dishes so we could try more things,!! The Dolmadas were the best we had ever had and marinated anchovies just melted in your mouth. We had Greek sausages in a tomato sauce and the most incredible feta, honey,filo and fig baked tart.
