The AC is connected the the electricity cut off system, meaning that it only works when you are in the room. Also, the AC is located right above the bed, blowing directly on you. Asked the owners to give me one more card to fix this and have the AC on while I am out, and turn it off when I am in the room. The man told me he will let me know later, but I got no answer. Next day when I met the lady, she to me she was informed (but still never bothered to answer me until asked again), but it's not possible because she thinks I will leave the AC on all day and it will consume electricity. I only needed it for a few hours constantly to cool the room, not on/off based on how i come and go and not all day either. Well, I couldn't sleep until 3AM, so not sure what is worse. Comparing to all other hosts I had in Greece, the one here was the only unwelcoming one from the beginning, even before me asking for an extra card. Also, the bathroom cleaning could be improved, the shower wasn't cleaned. Toilet water tank is deffect and leaking, so even with bathroom door closed, you hear a constant water leaking and refilling of the tank, not the best sleeping background sound. On the other hand, the location is amazing, easy to get everywhere, yet fairly away from the noise of the...
Read moreTo stay in the old town of Rhodes has its charm, although it usually means to drag the suitcase over cobblestones, since taxi's will not enter this area. Eleni Rooms is not far from busy Jewish Martyrs Square, but in a quiet part. Located in two buildings next to each other the guesthouse has to respect the traditional old town architecture. Rooms are thus all quite different.||My room was No 5 on an upper floor. It had a double bed, but for two persons it would have been very cramped to stay in here and I barely just managed for myself alone. The main problem was the storage space, also in the bathroom. Otherwise it had a small desk, a fridge, bedlamps.||Breakfast could be ordered a day before and it was served in the courtyard of a building next door. There was enough choice. Giota was in charge, when I was there. She helped me with the luggage on arrival and I usually saw her at breakfast time. After my side trip to Symi she had promised me a larger room for my return, but then I was put up in the same No 5 again, due to lack of...
Read more🥰We had such a lovely time at Eleni Rooms.
Stayed there for 6 nights, in a traditional building, in the middle of the old city of Rhodes, with inner sitting area, flowers, roof garden and is a family owned holiday accommodation.
We met Eleni herself and her amazing daughter Yiota who runs the place, giving the best travel/excursions tips, very friendly with children and us all. 💎The housekeeper was leaving the room and the rest of the property shining, always with a huge smile. 👩🏼🍳You can order breakfast 😋 from the owner, it will be made fresh and served at the veranda/sitting area. 💻The WiFi is strong and you can work without any issues. 🏠The room was a comfortable 3 bedded (2 adults and a 5y child) with a shower, a/c, a bright window, a big closet and most important in the middle of the old city of Rhodes but was so peaceful and quiet 🤫
We are totally recommended it and believe me you...
