2021 Finally came back after lockdown and it's better than ever! Savvas and Evie are going from strength to strength with their beautiful restaurant.
They now have more tables outside and are busier than ever - and now have 2-3 new staff members that are equally delightful. Going back 2-3 more times before leaving Rhodes!
To ensure getting a table book ahead.
2020 Amazing restaurant! The food is truly a cut above. It's Greek but with a flair. We had tzatziki mousse (unbelievable), truffleled prawns (swoon), feta parcels (deliciously unique), artisan breads, and a delicious house wine. I really want to eat through the whole menu, hopefully next year...
The young couple, Savvas and Evi, that run it are outstanding; she is front of the house and serves and her husband is the chef. He worked/trained in Paris and it really shows! It was slow when we went so had a chance to chat with both and had a great time.
At the end of the meal she brought us limoncello and a delicious apricot preserve, which is a traditional dessert that the Greeks love. She had made it herself from her own trees - it doesn't get better than that.
The prices were great too. Slightly more than a taverna, but just. Also, if you only want a few starters that's okay with them.
I almost forgot, lovely street and room. Just off the...

To start our son had sautéed shrimp and the 2 of us had grilled octopus. The shrimp dish was delicious and the octopus was good but ever so slightly over cooked which made it just a little tougher than it should be.
For mains I had beef cheek (pictured), my wife had sous vide chicken, and our son had lamb shank. All the meat in all 3 dishes was cooked to perfection, and the portions were substantial. They were all delicious.
Overall the food was excellent, the only negative observation I would make is the presentation of the dishes seemed a little over the top, as if they are trying too hard to be a bit fancy... you can see it in the picture of the beef cheek dish accompanying this review. There's a definite French influence in the cooking here, and if the presentation was a little more refined it would be better. Don't let that put you off though, the food here is very good and very reasonably priced.
3 starters, 3 mains, breads and tzaziki, a bottle of rose wine and soft drinks all came to a little less...
Read moreMy wife and I booked a table for our wedding anniversary as a special meal. The food was, without a doubt, incredible! So creative and very flavoursome.
We've only gave it 3 stars as we didn't get particularly good service. Our starters came and we didn't have any cutlery so we had to ask for some. When our starters had been cleared, the cutlery was also taken. This meant when our main was set down, we didn't have any cutlery and before we could ask the waitress was off on another errand.
We were sat upstairs (which is lovely!) But when the waitress went downstairs and didn't reappear it meant I had to go to the serving station to pick our own cutlery up. Nobody checked on us as we were into our main meal, and we had finished for over 20 minutes before the plates had been cleared.
Nobody came to ask if we wanted a dessert or any more drinks, we felt forgot about.
It didn't spoil our evening, but was...
