Nando's Gyros & BBQ — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

I ordered my food at 11.30am. The website and google says open from 10am until 1am the next day. I had to leave my villa to go to the beach at 2pm and still no site of the food. After being at the beach for an hour or so I decided to go back towards this place to see if it was open and if I could get my order in person, this was around 4pm, it was still closed. I went to a nearby place instead. I had to return to this nearby place as their card machine was down and I had not enough cash and this was around 5.30pm it was only then the establishment was open. I tried multiple times within the couple of hours of placing my order to contact the place via WhatsApp, messenger email and phone call (no answer) to no response.

I am extremely disappointed as the establishment is well advertised in Kolympia and I was looking forward to trying it. I can understand sometimes places can't open on advertised times due to many reasons but it would be nice to communicate this fact espescially when you are advertising being contactable via phone, WhatsApp etc. When you can't communicate the issue via these channels it's frustrating. VERY slow and bad service, with only 2 other seated tables, it seemed to get the better of them. We ordered 3 gyros and a pizza, and got the orders separately, from first to last it took 30 mins. The first two served was finished eating when I got my food. I asked the waiter what was taking so long, he just shrugged, and basicly told me nothing. While the rest of the table waited for me to (finally) finish my food, the kitchen seemed in complete chaos with not that many guests. While the prices here are decent, you’re better off eating anywhere else if you want fresh food, or food served fast.

The burgers and fries tasted like reheated leftovers, and nothing felt freshly made which made it disappointing and impossible to finish as the fries tasted stale and the burger tasted like it came out of the microwave.

We waited around 45 minutes to get our food, as there seems to only ever be one person working. It’s hardly fast food at that point! Local restaurants served us quicker and with far better quality. Skip this place and try some fresh local...
