I carry around a reusable cup and metal straw as a conscious effort to prevent unnecessary non-recyclable waste. I come to this Mikel almost every day and I always bring my cup and every day they fill it with my order. However today, they refused to put my drink in my cup. They continued to explain that they could only give me my order in a Mikel cup and then I would have to pour it into my cup....defeating the whole purpose of my reusable cup! I explained that I had come many times before and there was no problem but they didn't listen. They kept saying it was a "Mikel" policy. You seriously can't put my drink in my cup?? I know so many businesses that reward the customers for bringing their own cup because by doing so, the customer is not only cutting waste consumption but also saving the company money by not using one of the company plastic/paper cups! I am super disappointed at the inconsistency and unwillingness of support. So today Mikel lost my business and the possibility to save $ on not using one of...
Read moreI ordered 2 Cappuccino mikelo and the lady on the cash register (blonde with bangs) . said that the cost was 5,60€. However on the menu above it was written that one Cappuccino mikelo regular size is 2,30€. So when I asked her about the menu, she only said that it is 0,30€ extra per mikelo. (even so it doesn't sums up... 2,30+0,30+2,30+0,30=5,20!!!) Anyway, I changed my order to 2 freddo Cappuccino. She says the cost is 4,40 € and then she changed it to 4,60€. I asked for the receipt multiple times... And she gives me the 4,40 cost+ 0,10 for environmental responsibility, I say that my chances from the 20€ note is 0,10€ short ( I don't do that, in fact many times I tip, even if it is not required in Greece... But I was quite irritated by the whole transaction...) And she printed another 0,10€ environmental responsibility receipt. When I asked why it is 2 *0,10€ she said one for the 2 tops and one for the 2 paper cups... Hope you had a...
Read moreMikel's is a chain and a reliable one - it's good for takeaway, a quick meeting, or to get some work done. Each location is a bit different - this isn't my favorite one but there are a couple of things that add to the charm: it's a place where all the elders in the neighborhood go in the morning so if you want to get that feel, this is your place. It's counter service which is not as common in Greece, but sometimes that's kinda nice. The outside area has heaters & its enclosed - but that also means it gets smoky. But there's...
