Dolce Bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Thira

Went there with my girlfriend for lunch as we were both starving and what an unpleasant discovery. Everything that could have gone wrong actually did go wrong. Waitress came to collect our drinks order, we ordered 2 mocktails and we got 2 cocktails. But we soon realised that and when we informed the same waitress instead of apologising and rectifying the mistake, she tried to blame us for not mentioning mocktails in the first place. Never mind I thought.. We ordered starters and mains and everything came at the same time, a little strange but no biggie. We both ordered the same burger (Australian one ) and there were differences between them. I said please make sure it has no mustard (not like this is an allergen or anything!) and guess what arrived. The waitress said heres the one without mustard and gave it to me... imagine my surprise when I bit into a load of mustard! Safe to say I am glad I am not allergic! My girlfriend swapped burgers with me and when I bit into that one, thankfully it didnt have mustard but instead has mayonnaise in it. I decided I wouldn't bother carrying on trying to eat anything here. The second waitress came over and asked if everything was okay, I said the burgers got mixed up and my burger has mayo in. She said back well it does say that on the menu! Erm, no it doesn't as I would have said without mayo... Also the burger with mustard doesn't have mayo. I gave up as a bad job. They came and cleared the plates and the waitress came back over to say can we pay as they are swapping shifts now... No problem at all we thought! My girlfriend said we still have the bill here for the cocktails which we didn't order. The waitress said I will sort that now. She then tried to charge us €69... my girlfriend counted it up and said no it should be €61.50 as mocktails are €8 each and cocktails are €13 . Good thing she has a good memory as the menus were swiftly taken away! So where's this random number come from as it's neither the price for 2 cocktails or 2 mocktails my girlfriend asked. The waitress then said I put the cocktails through the till so you have to pay the tax so I'll charge you €63.50. Is that okay? My girlfriend replied with well not really as we didn't order them and you've ready tried to charge us €69, but whatever we just want to leave. She represented us with the card machine for €62.50... Very strange!

Moral of the story... if you want to have random food and drinks show up that you know you didn't order and get charged a random amount of money for it , go to...

Very good value to the money and I highly recommend the special omelette! We stopped by at around 10am before we headed to the north. We picked this place because it's got nicely decorated patio and it served breakfast.

Out of all the food we ordered, we liked the special omelette the most. It's gotten a big layer of cheese and ham. It's not too salty and the egg was fluffy. We wanted to order one more but our server said it's going to be half an hour because he put some orders in for the other table (5 people) who came after us. We decided not to wait because we needed to check out of the hotel. The other food was ok. The sweet crepes where it said nutella was not actually nutella. It tasted more like chocolate knock off. Our coffees were ok. The girl at the hotel said they have the best coffee in the area. Anyway, the server was neither attentive not mean. When we asked for the check, he only verbally told us it's €57. No bill except for the bill he gave us when he gave us the drinks. We found the number didn't add up and it turned out he charged us the extra special omelette we didn't get. How did he make that mistake when we were one of the three tables he had the whole time? We tipped him 10% regardless and he finally showed us some smile. My sister went back to get coffee and he was...

Got the table almost immediately as we came, but the drinks were horrible. Sex on the beach was doable, but the blue lagoon tasted like medicine. Afterwards we ordered 2 more drinks, “Kiss my lips” and “Vanilla passion” which both didn’t taste well as there was too much alcohol and the ratios were off. After the first drinks we waited 15 minutes and no one came. We had to call the waitress to serve us again, she wouldn’t serve us without calling her first. Went to another bar in Kamari and the drinks were worth the price, unlike here (40€ total for 2). Also the popcorn was served as if it has been made in a microwave 4 hours ago. Worst experience ever, don’t even know why they’re full with people...
