Mango restaurant bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Thira

Terrible experience at the beach. We came early morning to the beach and were just enjoying the ocean. A couple of hours later a service person (maybe even the owner) came up to us and stated that for us to stay at the beach we need to spend at least 50 euros and handed us the menus. We were taken by surprise as there were no sign at the entrance of this requirement. A few minutes later another couple came and were looking for chairs. My son was laying in a shade behind one of the chairs that the couple pointed to and the restaurant server asked my son to move. This got me very upset as there were many more available chairs and he could have offered the couple a different location without requesting my son to move. When I questioned his reasoning he got very rude and nasty with me and told us to leave the beach. We honestly thought he had some kind of bi-polar disorder as he went from 0 to100 in just seconds. We gladly left as we already felt uncomfortable being forced to order things from the menu for at least 50 euros without even picking this restaurant as our choice for food. As we walked along the side of the beach, there were SO many restaurants begging people to come in. We chose the restaurant we wanted and stayed at that location of the beach for the rest of the day. It appears that it is a common practice for the restaurants to allow you to use their chairs in exchange for your informal commitment to dine with them, even though Santorini beaches are technically 'free'. However, my issue with the Mango server was his attitude and rudeness, trying to force us to support his business. The competition there and choice of restaurants is incredible and it's just plain stupid of him to behave the way he did to only achieve a loss of business that day. Our day wasn't ruined, we enjoyed our time at the same beach with very pleasant people at a different restaurant. I feel sad for him for being so stupid and costing himself a lot more...

Terrible experience here earlier this night. It was going well as it was a lively atmosphere and great music playing giving a great vibe. We started off ordering drinks, a zombie and a mango daiquiri. The mango daiquiri had mango syrup of sorts and way Too sweet at that. It tasted very fake and something that anyone could make better at home. The zombie that I had was way too strong too taste anything or even finish.

Regardless we ordered our meals. Lamb kleftico and a Greek Pizza. The lamb kleftico was horrible. I don’t know if it wasn’t cooked enough or not made right but I’ve had this down the road at Athiri and it was delicious. I told the waitress of its rubbery texture and lack of taste and she didn’t care. I also told someone else that I would not be finishing it and would rather just split my wife’s pizza but no one cared.

When the bill came I was surprised to see the lamb was still on there. The waitress stood beside me waiting for the bill and said nothing when I asked why the lamb wasn’t taken off as I didn’t even have 1/3 of it. Nothing.

personale scostumato e bugiardo. eravamo in 4 con una ragazza incinta, abbiamo chiesto un tavolo interno ci é stato detto che erano risevati ma non era vero si fermavano persone e si accomodavano. dopo insistenti tentativi di chiedere un tavolo ci e stati detto che ci chiamavano loro. gli ho chiesto cortesemente se parlavano in italiano e mi é stato risposto arrogantemente che parlava solo l'inglese e il greco urlando e emettendo un suono sgradevole ( GREEEEEEEKE) non lo consiglio a nessuno e i drink sono pieni di acqua!!!

scrawny and liar staff. there were four of us with a pregnant girl, we asked for a table inside we were told that they were re-risen but it was not true people stopped and settled. after persistent attempts to ask for a table, we were told that they were calling us.
