The Vine Cocktail & Wine Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Thira

What an amazing experience! My husband and I found this gem as we were walking past the beautiful Orthodox Cathedral in the center of Fira. We showed up around 6 to see if we could get a romantic table for dinner and drinks and to watch the sunset. Spyros warmly welcomed us and sat us at the most beautiful table at the entire restaurant. It was such a wonderful beginning to our evening. Dimitris, our server, came over immediately to introduce himself. We asked if they had any wine similar to pinot grigio and he brought over an actual bottle from Italy. We were thrilled. We shared fried calamari, that came with a tasty dip, and drank our delicious wine while we watched the beautiful sunset. Then we ordered our dinner...we shared greek salad to start, then I had the seabass fillet and my husband had the shrimp entree. The food was so fresh and well prepared. We also had an unexpected surprise with live entertainment throughout the evening. Louie played the guitar and sang quite a few Ed Sheeran songs. He is so talented! The staff was amazing and provided over the top service. They were so personable and genuine. Overall, the best dining experience during our stay in all of Greece....

We stayed at Symphony Suites in Pyrgos as it was near Santo Wines and our hostess Katarina recommended The Vine as a place where she loves to dine at.

At The Vine we were greeted by another Katarina and we hit the bar as we wanted a bottle of wine prior to cocktails. Katarina walked us over and our bartender was yes, another Katarina, and my travel partner and BFF is also a Katarina so it all felt right!

Katarina (bartender) was so lovely to us and she is so great at her job, even as they got busy, and we couldn't stop thanking her.

With such great service from all (and their reviews) we decided to also book dinner here after another booking for sunset cocktails at PK Cocktail Bar.

We returned and were seated and brothers Yiannis and Gabriel took very good care of us and we had the Cuttlefish Ink Spaghetti and the Chicken Risotto, both were perfect.

This is a place where you want to hang out and have drinks, dinner, enjoy the view from the top level as the management and staff know how to make you feel very welcome as a guest, and deliver on the service, food and drink quality.

Congrats for the marketing on instagram, it creates a special feeling. In contrast it, the experience at your restaurant is not luxury at all. Highly overrated. The service was a very big dissapointment. There’s no kindness or friendliness in it. We booked a table for our last evening in Fira. After 15mins waiting we tried to catch for our waiter, when he said “1 min”. After 5mins another waiter came to us. We wanted to order fried calamari but they run out of it. The tastes and textures were fine, but for this price we have eaten better in other “high category” restaurants. I tried to order some bread for the appetizer, but I couldn’t catch for a waiter. In the meantime we asked for another drink. Unfortunatelly we never got it.
