What a treat it was to eat here on the last night of my stay in Santorini! I would 100% recommend this restaurant! Mike was the perfect host - attentive, great sense of humour and friendly. His smiley charm really added to the calming atmosphere.
The food was very tasty and a welcomed change from the local cuisine. For starters, the seafood soup, seaweed and egg soup, and fried chicken wings were ordered. The chicken came with a tasty sweet chilli dipping sauce. Main meals ordered were special friend noodles, egg fried rice with vegetables and fried noodles with prawns. **Please note, I mixed up the noodle captions in this review! The noodle dish photographed next to the chicken wings is the special fried noodles. Apologies!
Every dish was tasty, being packed with flavour and looked absolutely gorgeous. This was a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach! The portion sizes were spot on, giving a generous amount for the price. My only suggestion would be to serve the starters together. Maybe start cooking the chicken wings before the soups and serve the wings first. We did not have to wait long for the soup dishes at all, but had to wait for the chicken - which is understandable because you are cooking poultry. Once the chicken arrived, it was still a bit too hot to eat straight away. This was only a small critique though!
The decor is simple but beautiful, with the ceiling being lined with traditional looking lanterns of a variety of designs. I personally also liked that the tv was on mute and showing food tutorials of authentic Chinese cuisine - definitely a thoughtful addition that was in line with the restaurants theme.
Thank you Mike and all the best - I will definitely come back the next time I am...
Read moreFood very overpriced. Asked for one duck in orange and one beef in blackbean, waiter even repeated "duck in orange" when noting my order. When the food came out, it was two black bean dishes. I asked if it was all beef in black bean and he said yes. I asked if duck in orange was to follow, he said yes. We ate what we had, duck in orange never came. He came back with the manager asking if everything was ok, I said I was waiting for duck in orange. They said that was it, I said it was black bean (duck in black bean wasn't even on the menu). Turns out I'd been eating duck in black bean. They still charged me for it though. Reduced the price by about 2 Euros, which was pretty appalling. Didn't end up eating the fried rice as was keeping it to enjoy with the duck in orange that never arrived so had gone cold. Terrible, overpriced, arkward experience. They had the chance to bring me the correct dish out when highlighted that it was incorrect, they failed to do so, they had the chance to not charge for it and failed again. Service terrible but happy to take the money. Terrible language barriers where waiter will just say yes to everything you say and repeat...
Read moreDecided to try out millenium as we were near to the end of our holiday and wanted something different for our evening meal. Dont let the tired decor put you off as Millenium did not disappoint. It is a family run business where all Staff were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable and were prompt in bringing out/ clearing our plates. You can see the chef preparing and making the food in the kitchen area within the restaurant. We ordered the chicken and sweetcorn soup and the seafood soup for starters this was accompanied by complimentary prawn crackers. We then had an egg fried rice to share accompanied with beef in black bean sauce and beef sechuan. The food came out hot and so fresh and we both remarked how tender our beef was - infact probably the best we've had at a Chinese. We had a 1/2 litre of white wine to share, 2x coke zero and a pint of draught beer coming to a total of €50. This was money well spent for gorgeous food in a pleasant atmosphere- highly...
